Yantra Mat Review

I LOVE my new Yantra Mat that the company sent to me! At first when I got it, I was scared that it would be painful because it it a mat that has all little spikes on it.  You lay your back or stomach or other part down on it and as long as you lay evenly on it, it feels good.  I got this mat three days ago and have been using it each day after work to relax.  In the manual, it says that some people feel super energized after laying on the mat and some people feel relaxed and tired.  I felt very relaxed after laying on it.  The point of the mat is to hit different pressure points.

Here is what the company has to say: "
The Yantra Mat is a European acupressure mat (“spike mat”) featuring 8800 acupressure points that help to alleviate back pain, headaches, stress, anxiety, insomnia and fatigue, and also aids circulation, lowers blood pressure, increases metabolism and promotes meditation.  It’s easy to use, easy to store, and makes for a great DIY therapy to unwind & relax after a long day.  Originating in Sweden, The Yantra Mat was just introduced in the U.S. as of January, 2010, and comes in three sizes, starting @ $49.

Basically, you just lie down, and the mat will take care of the rest.   Although it stings at first (we’re talking about a bed of nails here), after a couple of minutes, you feel a ‘tingling’ sensation throughout your body (that’s the blood circulating, leading to better delivery of nutrients and the release of endorphins and oxytocin, “the happiness hormones”).  The company recommends you start with 10 minutes a day and move up to 20-40 minutes once you’ve acclimated.  It’s a major ‘time saver’ for those who have any of the above conditions and don’t have time for daily/weekly acupuncture or massage treatments."

Thanks Yantra Mat! I love your product.
