Luna sent me some of their bars for review.  I got to try some of their new flavored bars and some of their protein bars.  I have tried the protein ones before and loved them! How to Make Homemade Wine

My parents have been making their own wine for many years now. This past Sunday, Troy and I helped them bottle some of their wine.  They mostly make it from homegrown fruits such as apples, pears, strawberries, etc.  They have also used mixes and juices such as Welch's grape juice.  My parent's wine is quite dry but very tasty.  Here are some photos of the process: The cleaned bottles Mom cleaning the bottles The wine...we only bottled one or two of these  Troy filling the bottles Dad corking the bottles...you have to be careful because if you do it wrong, you can shatter the bottle (which has happened before) It was a quick process because we had so many people working.  And we even got some bottles to take home for ourselves!

Pumpkin Soup

Troy and I went to my parents house this weekend.  My mom made this awesome pumpkin soup made with frozen pureed pumpkin that was from homegrown pumpkins from last fall. First, she chopped up some onion and carrots and stir fried them.  Then, the frozen pureed pumpkin was cooked and chopped raw potatoes were added. Spices such as cinnamon, pepper, salt, etc. The final product with some shredded pepperjack cheese, low-far sour cream, sliced green onions, and piece of bread with butter on the side! It was a great soup, easy to make, and everyone liked it!

What is fiber? Why should I eat it? What does it do to my body? Many people do not know a lot about fiber and that I why I am here today to explain all about fiber to you.  Fiber is roughage that comes in plant foods.  There are two types: soluble fiber and insoluble fiber . Zerowater Pitcher Review

Zerowater sent me one of their pitchers for review. The neat thing about this product is that it is comparible to bottled water and is the only filtered pitcher that is like that.  Also, it comes with a tester that you use to make sure that the water is at 0. Other filtered water is at 124 which is not that great. prAna sent me this beautiful jacket for review on my blog.  It is called the Sylvie jacket and comes in five awesome colors.  The jacket retails for $88.  It has "Deep flap pockets hold everything you need; the textured cotton fleece, tall collar and double-button front cut the chill." I really love the jacket.  It is a little loose on me but looks pretty nice like that.  It is very soft and warm which is perfect for fall.  I will be wearing this jacket everywhere! Macrolife Naturals Review

Macrolife Naturals sent me some of their bars and Miracle Reds and Macro Green powders for review.  I first tried the bars.  I really liked the chocolate cinnamon bar and the berri berri bars.   I was not a fan of the apple lemon ginger one though because I really don't like ginger flavored foods.  The bars are 180-200 calories and are packed full of healthy ingredients.  I tried the Miracle Reds and Macro Green powders by adding them into smoothies.  They were great that way! ShaToBu is known as the workout that you wear.  I was lucky enough to get to try some for review on my blog.  I chose the shaping tights because I love to wear tights in the fall/winter with a skirt or dress.  The tights are calorie burning, tummy shaping, and muscle toning.  The reason that this works is because it is tight around the stomach through the thigh.  There are resistance bands woven right into the tights! Labrada Protein Powder Review

I received these two samples of protein powders from Labrada for review.  I was excited to try them because they are vanilla ice cream flavored.  The one is Lean Body for her and is a meal replacement shake.  The other is Lean Pro8 which is super premium powder.  Last night, I made a mango ice cream smoothie by using this protein, a mango, ice, flax meal, Maca, and some Trop50 orange juice.  It was so good! This product is very sweet so for me, I would not use the whole packet but it depends on your preferences. The Lean Body for her has 30 grams of protein...wow! It also has 180 calories which is not bad for the amount of protein that you are getting. Wholesale Costume Club Review

Wholesale Costume Club was generous enough to allow me to review one of their costumes on my blog.  I already had bought a costume at the end of last year on clearance for this year so I let my husband choose one to get.  He chose this Black and Gold King Tut Men's Costume for review. The costume retails for $65.99 but can be gotten for only $33.96 if you are a member or $38.48 if you are a non-member.  It took my husband FOREVER to choose a costume because they have such a great selection of men's costumes to choose from.  The company also sells awesome costumes for kids, women, and best of all-pets. Full Circle Home Review

Full Circle sent me some of their handy products for review.  I got to try the magnet kitchen towel, the glass cleaner, and the dish brush.  All of these products work great and I love them! They are all made from sustainable and renewable sources.  I especially think that the glass cleaner is very handy because it fits perfectly into a wine class to clean it.  This is great because a lot of times, I cannot really fit my hand into the glass when washing it.  Also, the kitchen towel is very handy because it can stick right to your fridge. P28 Bread Review

I love eating foods with high protein because they help to keep you full for a longer amount of time.  I was very excited to try this very high protein bread call P28 which contains 28 grams of protein per 2 slices of bread!! A major negative of many healthy breads is that they have a tough texture or a bad flavor.  This was not at all the case with this bread! It was very soft and chewy and tastes great.  My husband loves it too! The protein that is in the bread is whey protein isolate which is a high quality protein.  Also, the bread is high in fiber, is cholesterol free, and has omega 3 fatty acids! Each slice has 130 calories and two grams of fiber.  For me, one slice is plenty because the slices are HUGE!! I cut it in half and made a sandwich with turkey, tomato, pickles, lettuce, and mustard. I have been using the brown one pictured for one week straight.  I take it with me to the store, to work, and use it at home too!
