2012 Goals

2011 was a great year! Many wonderful things have happened to me and I can't wait to see what the year 2012 will bring.  Here are some of my goals for the year: Finish my dietetic internship (June 1) and take/pass the registered dietitian exam (around August or so) and become a Registered Dietitian (RD). Find a job that I love and get hired as a Registered Dietitian somewhere in the Detroit area. Study hard and maintain at least a B in my Master's degree classes. Learn as much as possible in my clinical rotation from January until the end of April about clinical nutrition, tube feeding, outpatient therapy, etc. Continue to work on our new home and move in (April 20th). Sell our current home by April 20th. Blog everyday (I barely missed a day this entire 2011 year!) and continue my passion for blogging. Continue to grow my readership on The Nutritionist Reviews. Spend lots of time with my family and husband! Also, continue to love my dachshunds with all my heart. Go to

2011 Reflections Part 1

Here are some of the fun and exciting things that I've done from January-June this year.  2011 started off at our NYE party at Lakeland Banquet and Event Center in St. Clair Shores, MI. We have been going there for 3 years and is the place that Troy and I had our wedding reception. We had a huge snowstorm .  We went to the beach in January . My family went to the Detroit Pistons Basketball game for my mom's birthday and we got to shoot a basket on the court (I totally missed)!! Jaxen introduced himself as the dog behind The Nutritionist Reviews . We celebrated Easter at my parent's farm and I made my traditional fruit salad I got accepted in to my dietetic internship and Master's program at Western Michigan University! Probably one of the top best things that happened to me all year! My mom and brother came to visit us for Holland's Annual Tulip Festival in May. We took a very fun walk on my parent's farm in May when everything was flooded and ju

Miche Bag Review

Miche Bag Review

I have a really cool product to show you called Miche .  It is a bag that "you put all of your essentials in just one bag and never have to bother with moving it all to a different purse each time you change your outfit. Imagine—you will always know where your favorite lipstick is! You start with a Base Bag—Classic, Demi, Prima or Petite—then add any one of our stylish Shells and you're ready for your busy day. Which "you" are you feeling like today? Fun? Flirty? Sophisticated? All business? No problem." I have been reading about Miche Bags for a long time now and always thought that the idea was really neat.  For my review, I was sent a Prima base bag and two of the shells. I chose the Rosalyn and the Raye shells. I love the Rosalyn because it is more professional and I can wear it to work while the Raye is a bit more fun and great for an evening out. It is super easy to switch shells so you can quickly switch bags.  In the future, I would eventual

Pravana Hair Product Review

My husband first became a fan of Pravana hair products earlier this year when he was sent some of their Detail and Twist products to review. He really likes both of these because they hold his hair nicely and are not greasy which is often hard to find in a product.  He likes to keep one of these in his car in case he needs a quick touch up during the day and it is great because they do not melt.  Here is some information about the Pravana hair products: Pravana's Hair Care Collection is comprised of seven different categories to ensure that all hair types have the treatment they need. Our shampoos and conditioners are infused with PRAVANA's proprietary Naturceutical ComplexTM, comprised of botanicals known for their therapeutic and healing properties, and teamed with three different hydrolyzed proteins to enhance hair's strength, elasticity and shine from the inside out. All Pravana Shampoos are sulfate, sulfite and paraben-free. All Pravana hair care formulas are

Campus Quilt Review

Campus Quilt is a company that takes your t-shirts and turns them into a beautiful quilt.  I have always thought that this was a neat idea and contacted the company to review one of their handmade, personalized blankets. Something else really neat is that they can make the quilts out of hats, ties, socks, sweatshirts, etc. as well as the t-shirts. This company was featured in Rachel Ray, The Today Show, and Real Simple magazine!  One of my favorite products that they make is blankets displaying baby clothes and accessories...so cute! My brother is a runner in college and has been running since elementary school.  He has tons and tons of t-shirts that he does not wear.  For his Christmas present this year, I had Campus Quilt take some of these shirts and transform them into this blanket.  The order form was simple to fill out and you put what color backing you want, what material, embroidery, etc.  You also put what order that you want the shirts in by putting a little numbe
