Spicy Healthy Alfredo

I've been wanting to make alfredo for years but was always scared that it was too hard and that I would mess it up.  Finally, this past weekend, I decided to give it a go.  It turned out great and my husband loved it too!

Spicy Healthy Alfredo
Ingredients:
1 package whole wheat Buitoni tortellini
1 cup chopped fresh broccoli
1/2 chopped green pepper
1/4 cup reduced fat cream cheese
1/4 cup cream
1/4 cup reduced fat shredded parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Garlic Gold chunks
***Please note that quantities used are approximate and not actually measured out.

1. Boil water and cook tortellini according to directions on package. About 2 minutes after throwing the tortellini in, add the chopped veggies right to the pot of boiling water.
2. Drain most of the liquid except for about 2 tablespoons and a cream cheese, cream, parmesan cheese, hot pepper flakes, and black pepper.
3. Stir constantly until sauce is desired thickness.
4. Portion yourself out a serving and add Garlic Gold on top.

Enjoy! You can adjust this recipe to your liking.  I would recommend having this with a salad on the side.  I will be making this recipe again soon!
