The No Om Zone Review

Until now, I have never tried yoga, ever. I have read many blogs where people do it all the time and have read about it numerous times in magazines.  I decided to give it a try and asked to review The No Om Zone.  I was sent the book and the DVD.  The author is Kimberly Fowler and her yoga is all about being practical and she makes it easy to do in the comfort of your own home. It is specifically designed for people who are new to yoga (like me!).

On Sunday, it was super rainy and Troy was at work so I decided to open up the book and give it a go.  There are simple step by step instructions to help guide you through each pose. I actually had a lot of fun.  Not sure if it was due to the yoga or not but on Monday, my body was sore. After trying this yoga, I am interested in trying some other yogas in the future.

  1. I did yoga a couple times over a year ago and didnt go back. Then a few weeks ago I tried again and the next day I couldnt figure out why I was so sore... then I remembered I had done some new moves lol. :) Trying new things is fun, even tho Im so not flexable!

  2. I had back surgery almost 2 years ago and was still having a lot of issues with pain and flexibility. I ended up trying Bikram yoga( http://wp.me/p1hftC-ld ) with some girlfriends and it is outta control. I like to do self guided practices in the morning before work, though so I am definitely interested. *new follwer*

  7. I am similar in that I have not been able to realy *get into* yoga because some of the poses are extremely painful with a knee injury and surgery I had years ago. But I did buy a yoga video here recently in Mexico - going to give yoga another try, mostly because I feel I can control my own movements and also take it a little slower - at a comfortable pace. Also good for a relaxing time to medidate in a way... God knows I need to create more time for reflection and exercise.

Following you back from the hop, thanks for stopping by, look forward to reading more from you!

    Cheers,

  8. It's funny that you should do a review on this because I'm getting ready to set up a yoga zone in my bedroom for when I wake up in the mornings!

I'm SUPER excited about it, too xD

I think more people should get into yoga because it's just so good for you!!
