Triple Grain Review

I've always been a big popcorn fan and love trying new flavors. Oogie's Gourmet Popcorn definitely has some very unique flavors. Chili Con Queso, Sun-dried tomato and parmesan, cracked pepper & asiago? Those are all definitely new-to-me flavors and I couldn't wait to dig in.  My favorite flavor is definitely the cracked pepper & asiago.  It is so flavorful. You can really taste the asiago cheese flavor and the pepper is not too overpowering. The popcorn seemed a lot fresher than most packaged popcorns.  It is a little addictive and once I opened the bag, I could not stop eating it.

Something else about popcorn, did you know that it is a whole grain? Yep! That's one of the qualities that I love about it. The cracked pepper & asiago has 150 calories, 3 grams of fiber, and 3 grams of protein per 2 1/2 cup serving. I love that with popcorn, you can have a pretty big serving for not too many calories. If I find this product in stores, the next flavors that I definitely want to try are the spicy chipotle and lime and the smoked gouda. Both sound awesome! To find a location near you, you can search for it on the store locator.

2. Jovial Pasta Review
I love trying new kinds of pasta and these two were both new to me. Jovial Foods send me some of their brown rice pasta and their einkorn pasta.  I had never heard of the einkorn pasta before so decided to give that one a try first.  What it is is an ancient wheat grain from over 12,000 years ago.  It is a 100% whole grain product. The product is high in thiamin, protein, fiber, and B vitamins.  It has a deep reddish orange color from the lutein which is equal to the amount in an egg. For such a healthy grain, I was surprised that I had never heard of it. The nutritional fats such as calories and such are similar to 100% whole wheat pastas.

The pasta was very tasty and flavorful.  I usually use 100% whole wheat pastas and the texture of this was similar.  I used just a simple marinara sauce which was tasty.  Also, here is some information about the brown rice pasta.  It is 100% organic and gluten free. This is a great option if you have Celiac disease or gluten intolerance. It is made to taste very close to regular pastas.  I love that they use brown rice to make it also.

3. Popchips
I have been a long time fan of Popchips and reviewed them last year on my blog. Since then, I have purchased every flavor and love the Salt and Vinegar and Barbeque the best. I was sent a new flavor of the chip which is jalepeno.  I had not tried these before and was excited to. Something to note about Popchips is that they are baked and never fried. A 3 ounce bag of chips which is a pretty good serving is 120 calories which is quite a bit less than typical chips.  These give you the chip flavor without all of the additional calories and fat. I know that I have read before that Kelly Rippa loves to give these to her kids for a snack instead of having greasy chips which is a great idea.

Popchips are showing up at more and more stores in my area which I love! They are sold at Target and I see them every so often at Meijer and other specialty stores. I like that there is no shortage of flavor on these chips. The new jalapeno chips are awesome! They are flavorful and not too spicy. My husband loves jalapeno flavored things and would love these. If you are looking for a healthier alternative to regular chips, I would highly recommend trying these!
