I don't think anyone expects a person's guest room to be spectacularly decorated. But I still like to try and decorate mine in a really neat way. It used to be where my old bedding would go to die. But I decided that given the number of guests that I have, that I should actually make it look much nicer. But I'm going with a minimal aesthetic this time that is classic and isn't too overwhelming.
I looked online to get some inspiration on how to do minimalist stuff right without looking too plain and void of any personality. When I was looking, I happened upon this site about Debt Counseling. I thought it was my lucky day because I'm in debt and could really use some counseling to give me some direction on what to do to get back in better financial standing.
I found some inspiration for some basic window treatments that let a lot of light into the room while still ensuring privacy. I don't want my guests to feel too exposed, but I'd also like them to keep from sleeping all day if they're visiting! So I think that these ideas will be perfect.

Pretty disappointing that you've turned to paid advertisements that are not at all related to your blog. "I happened upon a site about Debt Counseling".... sounds really insincere. I understand the need to make money via blogging, but this will drive me away.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is that you're very right. I will try to stay away from paid posts that do not relate to my blog. It's just hard to pass up right now since I am in my dietetic internship and cannot have a job at this point due to working 45 hours a week for free already. Thanks a lot for your input.
ReplyDeleteVery understandable. Maybe sprinkle in some more of your personal experiences to make it a better balance. I'd love to learn more about your internship and what you're learning- even if it's just a paragraph or two. You have some great nutrition insight and I have a feeling lots of us stumbled upon your blog because of RD/nutrition related inquiries.
