OptimusEMR Electronic Medical Charting

Have you heard of OptimusEMR before? They are a big company in the electronic medical records industry.  I had not heard of them before just was able to check out their site a bit. What they do is develop software for hospitals to organize information about patients so that other hospitals and medical offices have access to this information about the patients and no information is lost. 

I have just started using electronic medical charting at the hospital that I am doing my internship at and it is great! I would so much rather chart online than in a paper record. My handwriting is pretty poor so I like not having to worry about that. 


Using this technology helps to drastically cut down on the paper work and reports that usually hospitals use.  I love being able to look up the information from any computer in the hospital. It is so easy, fast, and efficient.  I never had to use paper charting but I love using the Electronic Health Records. Finally, this can be used in other places than a hospital including Long Term Care facilities and doctor's offices.
