US Wellness Meats Review

US Wellness Meats is a meat company that sells grassfed meat.  I became interested in trying some of these products and asked to review them on my blog.  The company agreed and sent an assortment of products.  Some of the ones that I was sent are ground chicken, filet mignon, and pork tenderloin.

Here is some information about US Wellness Meats:
In 2000, U.S. Wellness Meats as we now know it was born. Today, the company is a thriving family-owned business still run by its founding families. Their grass-fed beef is recognized for its exceptional taste, quality and health benefits by chefs, health experts, professional athletes, and many others. In addition, U.S. Wellness Meats has joined with like-minded small family farms across the country to expand its offerings to include grass-fed lamb, bison, and goat, as well as grass-fed butter and cheese, free-range poultry, honey, organic nuts, and other wellness products.

A few nights ago, I decided to try the ground chicken. I have actually never worked with ground chicken before and decided to make chicken burgers out of it.  Here is my quick recipe:

Ground Chicken Burgers
Ingredients:
1 lb ground chicken
1/4 cup feta cheese
1 whole egg
2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1/2 cup spinach- finely chipped

Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Form into patties and cook on the stovetop. Watch carefully as mine got a bit too dark on the bottoms. Unfortunately, they were not pretty enough to take a picture but that was my own fault, not the companies.

These burgers turned out incredible. I was shocked with how juicy they were and they seemed to be fairly low fat. I am excited to try the pork tenderloin that I was sent also. I will probably cook it in the crockpot until it falls apart. That is my favorite way to eat pork.

These products are very tasty and I am surprised with how juicy they are. I love that the animals are grass fed also. The company also sells cheeses which I very much want to try in the future because they sell a salt free one.  I would love to see how that tastes. I have enjoyed reviewing US Wellness Meats products and would definitely recommend them to others.

  1. My family and I are big meat eaters and have chosen to eat grass fed and free range beef and chicken a majority of the time.

    It's amazing the taste difference!

  2. I've order from US Wellness Meats for over two years. For the past several months, I once received spoiled meat and the second time, in the heat of summer, my meat arrived WARM in the box, without any ice packs. If they raised their meats as clumsily as they package it, then it can't be very good. And for my troubles -- a $10 credit for the first one. And a $25 credit for the second. I lost over $200 with them. Never again. If they had made good on their errors. If only they had enough integrity to stand behind their products. Buyer beware.
