A couple of years ago, I reviewed the P28 bread and really liked it. I landed on the website for their company a few weeks ago and saw that they now sell flatbread and bagels. I emailed the company to try them and was sent a couple packs to sample.

The flatbread is very large and contains 28 grams of protein per serving. For me, one flatbread is too too big for a meal but I can eat about half of one. I had fun creating a couple of recipes using these. The first recipe I made was a flatbread pizza. I used a chunky, fresh tomato sauce and part-skim mozzarella cheese. I broiled in until it was crispy in the oven. It turned out excellent! My husband and I really enjoyed it and you could not tell that it was high protein.

It was very filling which is great. I am not one of those people who recommend a low-carbohydrate diet but when you are eating a meal that is mostly carbs, choosing a high protein bread like this can help to keep you full and satisfied. I also made a wrap with this flatbread including smoked turkey, herb goat cheese, chickpeas, cucumbers, tomatoes and lemony sauce. It was tasty. The entire flatbread has 260 calories, 28 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber.

Finally, yesterday morning my husband and I had the P28 bagel for breakfast. It was very filling and tasty. The only difference between these and a typical bagel is that these were chewier. I was happy to be getting some protein in in the morning. One bagel contains 260 calories, 28 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber.

I would definitely recommend these products to anyone interested in getting some extra protein in their diet.
