West Michigan Cherry Picking

West Michigan is well known for all of its awesome fruit farms. They grow everything including cherries, blueberries, rhubarb, asparagus, raspberries, apples, strawberries, etc. I have been fruit picking at a couple of places in Fennville, Michigan where Troy and I used to live. When we went back to the west side of the state a couple of weekends ago to visit, I knew I had to check out some of the fresh fruit.

We went to Crane's U-Pick Farm in Fennville, Michigan where we were able to pick our own cherries. Okay, I lied- Troy picked the cherries to put in basket and take home and I ate the cherries straight off the tree! My fruit addiction is serious.

We were able to pick regular red cherries and some rainier cherries. West Michigan, you produce the most delicious fruit! Check out some of the pictures I took below.

Have you ever gone fruit picking? What kinds of fruit have you picked?

  1. wow. Looks like a fun time was had by you both! I love cherries, thanks for reviewing a place you can go and pick, for the next time I'm in Michigan.

  2. We were just in Travese City this weekend and got about 38 pounds of cherries to last until next year.

We got sweet black cherries and sweet red cherries and even some Queen Anne Cherries (sorry don't know what other kinds we got).

From what I understand, there is a bumper crop. Where you went, looks very plentiful like where we were at.
