Nutrition Bars Review and Giveaway

I was recently sent a nice selection of different nutrition bars to try and here is what I thought of each of them:
GNU Foods FiberLove
  • Gnu Foods FiberLove Bars: I have reviewed Gnu foods bars a couple of times in the past and really like them. They recently got all new packaging which looks great. These bars have 140 calories, 12 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein. I love that they are high in fiber to help meet your daily fiber needs. I would love to give these to my residents at the nursing home who need increased fiber
GNU Foods FiberLove
Ingredients include: Gnu High Fiber Blend™ (whole rolled oats, organic whole wheat flour, wheat bran, organic KAMUT® brand Khorasan wheat, psyllium, flax, millet), chicory root inulin, fruit juices, rice dextrins, apples, non-GMO canola oil, walnuts, rice, plums, banana, wheat protein isolate, natural flavors, baking powder.

My favorite flavors are the banana walnut, cinnamon raisin and blueberry cobbler. They are chewy and taste great.

Bumble Bar
  • BumbleBar: BumbleBars are organic, gluten-free bars made up mostly of sesame seeds. I was sent the junior bars which only have 100 calories in them. They are very low in sugar with 3 grams per bar. There is 2 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein in each bar. Flavors include: almond, chocolate crisp and peanut.
Ingredients include: Organic Sesame Seeds, Organic Brown Rice Syrup, Organic Flax Seeds, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Almonds, Organic Extract of Vanilla, Organic Cinnamon, Sea Salt, vitamin E.

I really like that they are small for a little treat when you want just a small snack. I also love the super low sugar content. I did not like that the bars are mainly made up of sesame seeds just as a personal preference. These bars have a good flavor and use real ingredients.

AMRAP Nutrition Bar
  • AMRAP Nutrition Fuel Bar: These bars are 100% husband reviewed and approved. They are made to refuel athletes and are 100% paleo. They contain raw, real ingredients. One bar has 300 calories and 14 grams of protein. I like the taste of these bars but 300 calories is a bit too much for my preferences in a bar. For someone that works out hard or needs the extra calories, this is a great real food choice.

The protein is great for your muscles after a workout to help heal hurt muscles and to help build new muscles. I am a big fan of almond butter and almonds and enjoyed trying these bars.

This AMRAP bar uses 100% real ingredients including: Raw Almond Butter, Unsweetened Coconut, Egg White Protein Powder, Raw Sesame Seeds, Raw Almond Chunks, Raw Honey, Ground Cinnamon, Sea Salt.
Veggie-Go's
·         Veggie-Go’s: These unique strips are similar to a natural fruit roll up but include vegetables too. They have unique flavors and ingredients that make up a chewy, fruity strip. They are made from organic fruit and vegetables and have no added sugar. Flavors include mountain berry spinach, carrot ginger, cinnamon spiced beet and sweet potato pie.
I liked trying all of the flavors of the Veggie-Go’s. These would be fun for kids who like fruit rollups and fruit snacks but are a healthier option.
Giveaway
The giveaway will be for a box of 20 Veggie-Go’s Bars, a box of BumbleBars and a box of 8 AMRAP bars distributed to three lucky readers on The Nutritionist Reviews blog.
