2013, What a Year!

One of my very favorite posts to write each year is my yearly recap post. It lets me really reflect on the past year and all of the happy times that I was able to experience. This year was no different than others in that I was very blessed.

Here are some of the great moments I had this year:

We started the year out with another awesome NYE spent at Lakeland Banquet and Event Center with the whole family. We danced like crazy!

We went to Al's Hideaway Bar and sang some karaoke for the first time in my life!!

Troy and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary!

We redid our "red room" and I think it looks 10000x better
Before

After (we have since gotten the carpet redone to a nice tan color).

My brother graduated college and got engaged! Wedding is 6/14/14!

My brother got the most adorable English Setter named Wallace. He's gotten a lot bigger since this picture!

We went and stayed at my brother's new house in Paris, MI and went boating.

We went to the Detroit Hoedown and danced to some country music.

I got back into running after taking 6 years off!!!!! I have been enjoying racing this year. I got my fastest time ever of 20:50 for a 5k!

We celebrated my parent's 27th wedding anniversary at a great boat party.

One of my favorite times this year was graduating with my Master's degree!!!

I placed first for women in a 5k!

My two dachshunds entertained me 365 days this year! There was not a day that went by that these two stinkers didn't make me smile and laugh. They are my world <3 .="" p="">

Troy and I both had big job changes. I left my job at one nursing home and started a new position at another. I am very happy with my choice.

Even bigger!! Troy got the job of his dreams teaching at my old high school which is ranked the 3rd best high school in the state! This was so amazing for us. Finding a teaching job is very difficult and I am so, so proud of Troy.

My sister Natalie completed school to become a dental assistant!

This year was so amazing for fruit at the farm! My dad had tons of grapes, peaches, pears and apples. My parent's made tons of wine with a lot of it!

We had fun dressing up for Halloween.

Troy stood up to his best friend's wedding and we spent the weekend in Wisconsin.

November and December have been great as well but somehow, I have taken no pictures. I have just enjoyed life and the different experiences it brings to me.

Looking back is always so much fun but I also love looking forward to the future. God has been so good to us and I am very thankful for that! I look forward to seeing what 2014 brings.
