Memphis The Musical

I posted about a month ago about The Addams Family musical at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. My husband and I enjoyed it so much. Prior to this, we have not been to many musicals or plays and this particular show blew us away. The theater was clean, the show was well organized, the acting was very good and the singing/songs were entertaining.

Coming at the end of March, Memphis The Musical is coming to the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. I had not heard about this show before but looked it up and it looks awesome.

Here is some information about Memphis:
From the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphis, Tennessee, MEMPHIS is a TONY award-winning Broadway musical that bursts off the stage with explosive dancing, irresistible songs and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love. Inspired by actual events, MEMPHIS is about a radio DJ who wants to change the world and a club singer who is ready for her big break.”

Memphis has won several awards as well. It is a newer Broadway play and is doing very well. In 2011, a film of the play was released.
One March 28th at 7:30 PM, March 29th at 2 PM and again at 7:30 PM, Memphis is coming to the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $65 for gold circle, $60 house and $25 for students.
To learn more about the musical and purchase tickets, check out the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts page.

Disclosure: I received free admission to Memphis in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
