I was recently sent an awesome review package to try out here on the blog. Every Monday morning, my husband Troy goes swimming with the other teachers that he works with before work. Neither of us are big swimmers and Troy can get pretty bored swimming laps. I found Underwater Audio and found that they may be the solution to boredom while swimming.
Underwater Audio makes headphones and iPod shuffles that can be used underwater! I had never heard of anything like that so I was very interested. I was sent a couple of kinds of headphones to try: the Swimbuds which are for lap swimming and the HydroHarmony which is for water activities like kayaking or surfing.
The iPod shuffle is made 100% waterproof so it can go underwater without any issues. I thought that the idea of being able to listen to music while swimming was awesome. This week, Troy was able to try these headphones out and really liked them.
He said that the shuffle worked perfectly as well as the headphones. He was able to hear the music clearly which was very neat.
The Swimbuds come with a short cord so that they do not get in the way of your swimming. They are of course 100% waterproof. They work in many different conditions and are able to withstand use. They are to be used with goggles or eyewear. My husband really enjoyed these and said that it made his swim so much more enjoyable to listen to music. These Swimbuds retail for $40.
The HydroHarmony headphones come with three different sized earplugs so that they fit your ear well. These are good for surfing, kayaking and more. The sound quality is good due to the noise isolating technology and placement of the speakers. These seem to be good quality. I look forward to trying these out for kayaking this summer at my brother’s house on a river. These headphones retail for $30.
Overall, I am impressed with these headphones and waterproof iPod shuffle from Underwater Audio. If you love to swim or listen to music while doing activities that you may get wet, this may be the perfect product for you.
