Sage Spoonfuls Review and Giveaway

Sage Spoonfuls
As a mom-to-be and registered dietitian, one of the things that I look forward to most is when our baby is able to start eating. I cannot wait to make her homemade foods including lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. I plan to make most if not all of her food and just found a system to make preparing the food easier.

Sage Spoonfuls is a company that makes the grab-and-go homemade baby food system. It comes with an immersion blender and food processor, glass storage jars for food, labels, recipes and a pocket guide. This is exactly what you need to prepare food for your baby so I love that it comes in a kit all together.

By making your baby's food homemade, you can control the ingredients that go into the food which to me is very important. Babies should not be having a lot of added sugar, salt, fat, etc. By making the food myself, I can include only the healthy ingredients that I want.

I have read a lot about the first foods to feed your baby and I plan to start with green vegetables when the time comes. I want for her to get a taste of lots of different vegetables from early on so that she enjoys them and do not want her developing a sweet tooth too young.

I was sent the Glass Homemade Essentials Package which retails for $69.99. This is actually not a bad price considering all that it comes with. It comes with a 227 page book on what to food your bay, allergies, nutrition, foods to avoid, etc. It comes with 66 recipes which will be helpful when I cannot think of what to make.

The immersion blender and food processor can be used beyond the baby stage as well to make foods such as soups, smoothies and hummus. The storage containers hold 4 oz of food and are leak proof, freezer, dishwasher and microwave safe. The labels make it easy to remind you of what food is in the jars. All products are BPA, phthalate, lead and PVC free.

I cannot wait to get started using this kit in just about 6 months for our baby!
