A Letter to My Daughter

Dear Adalyn, I've had a lot of feelings that I want to share in this letter which I will show you when you are older. I found out that I was pregnant with you on January 17th, 2014. This was one of the best days of my life. Your dad and I wanted a baby and little did we know, that she would be as wonderful as you. I always knew that I wanted to have children one day. After 4 years of marriage, we decided that it was time. On April 28th, we found out that you were a girl and within a day, finalized your name, Adalyn Grace. I always liked names that started with an "A" for a girl and so does your dad. I had a short list of names that I liked and your dad chose your name from those. Once we decided on it, we never questioned our decision and knew that it would be the perfect name for you. When I was pregnant with you, I read tons about pregnancy and having a baby. I researched products like crazy to make sure that we were getting the items that we needed and that they

goDog Review

Don't worry, even with the new baby, Jaxen and Ava were not forgotten this holiday season. The first couple of weeks that Adalyn was home, I was not able to give quite enough attention (in my opinion) to the dogs but since then, I have made sure to give them plenty of love and attention. They were our first babies after all! We were sent this dog bed and toy from goDog. The hippo toy seen above is from the seasonal holiday collection. Also offered is another hippo toy and a gingerbread man. They have chew guard technology making it harder to rip apart. This is a great toy for the dogs! We were also sent a goDog BedZZZ . These come in 6 different sizes for any breed. They have a mesh liner and are double stitched to help prevent having to replace often. My dogs do not rip up toys really but Ava loves to rip up her "Pet Pads" as we call her beds and take the stuffing out everywhere. This feels more durable which is awesome because I hate always replacing these bed

BistroMD Review #bistroMDdiet

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post by BistroMD. All opinions are my own.  I was recently sent some meals to try from BistroMD to try and review. Of course, I never would specifically recommend a certain weight loss service or diet but I think that any meal can be possibly be part of a healthy diet. I received a 3 day menu including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack to try out. The food came frozen very nicely and was nicely labeled. Breakfasts included odyssey chicken crepes with waldorf apples, english muffin sandwich with egg, turkey sausage and cheddar and stuffed french toast with turkey sausage. I really enjoyed the stuffed french toast the most because it was tasty and filling. BistroMD is the only physician-designed, chef-prepared diet delivery system in the US. The ingredient are fresh and include rBGH-free beef, hormone free chicken and environmentally responsible seafood. The company offers a gluten-free program as well which is pretty awesome for those w

Adalyn 3 Month Update

This month has been so much fun with Adalyn. The two biggest things are that she is sleeping so much better and that she has been smiling like crazy. These two things make Troy and I very happy. Here is what is going on with Adalyn this month. Clothing size : Adalyn wears a mix of 0-3 month and 3 month clothing. Both fit very well. Diapers : size 1 Weight : Troy and I weighed her at home on 2 different scales and she is exactly 11 lbs. She is long and skinny. Feedings : Adalyn is still exclusively breastfed which is going very well. She eats 6-7 times in 24 hours. We have stopped giving her the pumped bottle at around 11 PM unless she wakes up seeming to need it. She has been sleeping better and sometimes sleeps through the night!!! Otherwise, I will feed her one time during the night usually between 2-4 AM. This time varies quite a bit. During the day, she eats every 2 1/2-3 hours, usually about 5 oz at a time. When I am at work, she take a pumped bottle well wit
