Women's Multi Gold Vitamin Review

I have been complaining about feeling plain wiped out lately the past month or so. By mid-day, I feel like a slug! I do not have time to feel exhausted like this so I decided to talk to my family about it. My dad asked me if I am still taking my vitamins. He is so right! I had gotten pretty lax with taking vitamins and was only taking them about 2 days per week. This reminder got me back to taking my daily vitamin and probiotic supplement. I am doing a few different things to feel my best which I will highlight in another post. I was recently sent the Women's Multi Gold Vitamins to try from NutriGold. What I really like about these vitamins is that they are made from whole-foods including organic fruits and vegetables. They also contain other beneficial nutrients such as nutritional yeast (love this on salads), probiotics and more. I think that eating a variety of probiotic rich food (Greek yogurt is my favorite) and taking a probiotic is a great choice to restore healthy

Postpartum Fitness Goals

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of  Influence Central  for Sears. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating. During my pregnancy, staying active was very important to me. It helped me to feel my best and gave me energy (which is hard to come by when you are pregnant).  I have to credit my dog Jaxen for getting me up each and every morning and walking with me. There were days when I didn't want to exercise that he guilted me into it and I am so glad he did! 37 weeks pregnant walk   Since having Adalyn, exercise is still very important to me but it is definitely harder to fit in some days. With Troy and I leaving the house around 7-7:30 each morning for work, fitting in exercise is tougher, especially after a bad night of sleep.  Lately, I have not been feeling my best. I feel run-down and like I need a boost. Along with a healthier diet, I think that exercise is helping me to feel better again. On the treadmill early morn

Baby Products Review and Giveaway

Baby Products Review and Giveaway

1. XOve Baby - I was sent this cute signature bundle from XOve Baby. I thought that this signature print was cute and like the little pocket on the onesie. The onesie is very soft and is made of 100% organic cotton. Adalyn will look cute in it this summer! The swaddle blanket is made of bamboo muslin cotton. We use these blankets sometimes now in our home but I know that once the weather gets warmer, we will use them even more because they are lightweight and soft. These matching sets would make a cute baby shower gift as well! 2. My True Nature Bath Products - I was sent the baby bubble bath and 2-in-1 shampoo and body wash from My True Nature. We tried the shampoo and body wash in the bath this past weekend and really liked it. It has a light, fresh citrus scent. It is good for sensitive skin and foamed up nicely. The bubble bath comes in baby soft scent which smells nice as well. Once Adalyn likes to play more in the bath, we will try this out! These products are natural

New Foods of 2015 Part 3 Giveaway

1. Bobalu Nuts - I love almonds and these in-shell almonds from Bobalu are a great snack. The shells are cracked to make it easier for them to come off- similar to taking the shells off of pistachios. These nuts are slightly salty and have a great roasted flavor. My husband loves nuts for a snack so he especially likes these. These would be fun for a party to have out where guests can crack their own nuts. They would also be good on a cheese plate with grapes. 2. Blissful Eats - I was sent some granola and boost bites from Blissful Eats to try. I loved the boost bites which come in chocolate cookie dough and instant boost chocolate flavors. They are tasty like a dessert but are healthy with ingredients like cashews, hemp and chia seeds. The granola comes in maple nut crunch, no nutty chocolate chip and apple cinnamon flavors. This is a grain-free granola! It also gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan. Ingredients include applesauce, maple syrup, sunflower seeds, coconut, cocon

DL revAMP Detox Review

DL revAMP Detox Review

I recently had the opportunity to try an amazing program called DL revAMP . DL revAMP is a company that sells a plant-based food detox. Typically, I am not a fan of regular detox programs. I do not think that an all juice cleanse is necessary or particularly helpful. Your body should be able to "cleanse" and "detox" itself and you don't need some crazy diet to do it. The reason that I decided to try this detox is because it includes actual food and real ingredients and because I have not been feeling like myself. I feel like I needed some help to reduce my sugar intake. A little background on what is going on with me: Since about Thanksgiving, I have been feeling a lot more tired than normal. Of course some of this has to do with having a young baby but even on nights when Adalyn slept well, I felt exhausted, run down, lethargic, lazy, etc. I hate feeling this way and wanted to do something about it. I have been working on getting more rest, making sure to e

New Foods of 2015 Part 2 Giveaway

1. Taste Guru Box - I was recently sent a box of Taste Guru products which is a monthly subscription for gluten-free products. It included some fancy salt, olives, walnuts, crackers, cookies, a magazine, coffee and an oatmeal fruit pouch. A subscription is as low at $15 per month depending on how long you subscribe. I love Boca Java coffee and was excited to see it in this package. The black walnuts were stolen by my husband right away which he enjoyed. For people who require a gluten-free diet, this is a good way to try different products that do not have gluten. 2. Elli Quark - I had been wanting to try this product since I heard about it last year!! What is quark? It is a lot like Greek yogurt but a bit creamier and less sour. It is not yogurt either. It is a spoonable fresh cheese that is high in protein with no added sugars. I thought that this was super delicious and loved the varieties of flavors that these come in. My favorite was the sea salt caramel which was so rich

Master Lock Twitter Sweepstakes

Master Lock Twitter Sweepstakes

Master Lock is hosting a Twitter sweepstakes which will benefit the American Red Cross.  The American Red Cross is an excellent organization that helps to provide blood to those in need. I remember being excited when I was 18 to donate blood. I went to my local church which was having a blood drive with my dad and donated blood. I remember they had me eat a couple cookies first because it was my first time and they were worried about my blood sugar. My first experience went well and I was excited to get my own card from the American Red Cross with my blood type on it. I have since donated blood a couple more times to the American Red Cross but have had issues with fainting (so embarrassing!) so I am taking a break from donating blood. My dad donates blood to the American Red Cross often because he has a popular blood type and is able to donate double red blood cells and the white ones are filtered out and put back into the body. I've always thought that this was really nea

Diet-to-Go Review

Diet-to-Go Review

Homemade food is great but when you are short on time, pre-made meals can be a great choice. Since having Adalyn, we have definitely been more busy and shorter on time. For lunches, it has been really nice to take pre-made meals such as these ones from Diet-to-Go for a meal ready to eat in just a few minutes.  This meal service comes with breakfasts, lunches and dinners. You can choose whether you want 1600 calories or 1200 calories. You have your choice of low-fat, low-carb or vegetarian. For my review, I went with the low-fat, 1600 calorie plan since that is most like a regular diet.  You can order either 5 or 7 days worth of meals. Also, if you do not want breakfast as part of this plan, you can purchase just lunch and dinner. Without a discount, for the 5 days of food that I was sent, it would cost $132.99 for 15 meals. That ends up being $8.87 per meal.  I think that the food from Diet-to-Go is tasty. The meals are very filling and include more than I would eat so

Austin Lloyd Review and Giveaway

I am really excited to bring you this review and giveaway today from Austin Lloyd . Austin Lloyd is a monthly subscription service for toys for babies and children. I was sent a box of toys to review for Adalyn and I am very impressed. For our review, I chose the 0-5 month box. This comes with age appropriate toys. This is great because I am not 100% sure which toys are best for her at this age and this box makes it easy for me. Each box comes with 4-5 different toys. Our box had 5 toys in it and Adalyn likes them all. The toys are quality and come from brands such as Haba, The Manhattan Toy Company, Rich Frog and more. Adalyn especially loved this crinkly, soft book that we were sent. For the first time, when I gave her this book, she flipped through the pages herself and loved it! A subscription starts at $44.99 to $49.99 per month depending on how many months you order. The toys are for birth to three years old and come at different levels depending on you
