pediped: Quality Shoes for Walkers

pediped: Quality Shoes for Walkers
Now that Adalyn is walking, we are finding that high quality shoes are very important. The ones that are cheaply made get ruined in two seconds with her walking on the cement and moving around everywhere. We have had success with a few brands and were able to try pediped which is a new-to-us brand that I have heard great things about.

They recently won an award for Children's Footwear Brand of the Year at the 2015 Footwear Industry Awards. They have three different lines: originals, grip 'n" go and flex. They have all different sizes and styles.

Although Adalyn is walking, she can still wear the pediped originals which are for newborns to 24 months. They are soft-soled and flexible which is what is recommended by pediatricians and podiatrists to mimic barefoot walking. They are leather lined with slip-resistant leather soles. They retail for $37-45.

For our review, we were sent the Giselle black patent shoes. I dress Adalyn up most days and she has a zillion dresses so these are perfect to go with her pretty dresses. These are size 12-18 months (Adalyn will be 1 on 9/20) and they fit pretty well. They are still a bit big so she will grow into them.

They are easy to slip on which we have found to be so important. A kid does not want to sit there and have shoes shoved on their feet or wait until their laces are tied. They have a Velcro closure to make it simpler to get on.

We love these shoes and are happy with the quality! Adalyn will get a lot of wear out of them.
