Win Tickets to the North American International Auto Show!

Have you been to the North American International Auto Show before? I was once back in 2007 and cannot believe that I haven't been since. In fact, I have never been with my husband (we met later that year) and he is obsessed with cars! Finally, we will be visiting this year and I cannot wait!

The show is January 13-28 and is open to the public from January 20-27 2018. Admission is from 9 AM to 10 PM most days. Tickets are $14 per person for adults, $7 for seniors 65 and older and $7 for children 7-12. Children 6 and under are free with an adult.

I will pretty much just follow Troy around and look at what he is interested in. He is obsessed with Mustangs and finally got one this year after talking to me about it for about 10 years straight- haha! If they have any Mustangs on display, I know that we will be visiting those. I think that Adalyn will have an awesome time as well. She loves "Daddy's fast car" and can spot a Mustang a mile away. For a 3 year old, she is pretty into cars which is pretty cute.

This past year, we purchased two new-to-us cars. Mine was 1 year old and Troy's was a few years old. I did a lot of research on what I wanted in my minivan (no shame!) before purchasing it and became a bit of a self-proclaimed expert overnight. I knew what I wanted and was able to shop online for the car that worked best for my family which was very helpful. I'm excited to check out the show with my family and learn more about the new cars coming out!

Steel is such an important part of a car and you can learn more about steel from the Steel Market Development Institute (SMDI) at the auto show. SDMI is a business unit of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). Its mission is to increase and defend the use of steel by developing and communicating innovative materials and designs. They work to differentiate steel based on its environmental performance and show that steel is the highest value material in these markets. They have offices and staff located in Detroit and they are working to bring together the steel and automotive industries for research projects and more. Check out this article on day trips and making the most of what is around you!

  2. YAY, I live in Novi and this would be perfect to attend with the family. We've never been to a car show before. We look for gas mileage, safety and comfort for our family when considering a car purchase.
