I do feel bad doing that to them but after 3 years of trying to get the one dog to stop and 4 years of trying to get the other to stop, I do not think that anything else is going to work. I spend all of my time with them but nothing helps. I do keep the bark collar at the lowest setting.

What happens when my dogs have an accident in the house on a daily basis is absolutely nothing for the most part. Sometimes, I just pick it up, sometimes they get a spanking if I catch them in the act.

I still love my dogs a ton but this is my method of dog "parenting". Thanks for your opinion.Amanda- The Nutritionist Reviewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00833204198234813886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8072073943271260623.post-34080751745021798712013-09-19T20:22:27.709-04:002013-09-19T20:22:27.709-04:00Okay you LOVE your dog but you shock them because ...Okay you LOVE your dog but you shock them because the barking annoys you. Why not just hit or kick it? Pain is pain. IMO dogs are wayyyy to smart to be shocking them into good behavior. Yes, other methods of training take more time but that's why most of us have pets. To spend time with them. My dog was a big barker. She now both barks and stops on command. I could not afford school nor a trainer. So I worked with her everyday, for months. I love her wayyy to much to shock her to get her to not bark. If that's a punishment for barking, Id hate to know what happens if he has an accident in the house!
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8072073943271260623.post-75949688324585527622013-09-19T20:10:00.096-04:002013-09-19T20:10:00.096-04:00Why not train them without shocking and hurting th...Why not train them without shocking and hurting them? And he barks at EVERYTHING-even stuff that's not even there o.O

I say if this works to get them to not bark, then it's worth it!
