Dohm Sound Conditioner Review & Giveaway

I have read great things about the Dohm by Marpac which is a sound condioner. I was sent the serious sleep baby bundle to review which is made to help encourage restful sleep and healthy growth. Along with the Dohm, it comes with a "Buddy the Bee" storybook to read to baby and a sleep 101 guide.  The Dohm has two different speeds and has been around for 50 years. It creates the sounds of rushing air also known as "white noise". I have read many new mom's must-haves-list and a white noise machine is almost always on it to help baby sleep. It helps to block noise out. This could be very helpful as the baby's room is going to be near the road. I have plugged this in to try it myself and can see adults really loving it as well. Currently, we sleep with a humidifier in our room and when it is not on, I miss that sound that it gives which helps me fall asleep. The Dohm is available in a few different versions and retails for $45-60.  Giveaw

HTC One Max Smartphone Giveaway

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Sprint. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and to thank me for participating. I was recently chosen as an ambassador for Sprint which I was very excited about. I have been using Sprint for about 10 years now and overall have been happy with the service. Through the next year, I will be reviewing different Sprint devices and services and will be sharing my experiences with all of you. For this post, I wanted to discuss the Sprint Framily Plan that is for you and up to 10 other people including family, friends, parents, co-workers, etc. They offer unlimited talk, text and 1 GB data of each. Each person will receive a separate bill which is nice if you have people who are old enough to pay their own bills instead of trying to divide it up. They have no annual service contracts or early termination fees. Prices start at $25 per month per line. I am still on my parent's cell phone plan

Dr. Brown's Review and HUGE Giveaway

When Troy and I started our baby registry at Babies R Us, I was so overwhelmed which bottles to choose. It seemed like there were a million choices so I decided to ask the sales girl for help. She says that by far, the favorite choice at their store are the Dr. Brown's bottles. After that I knew that I would want to try these for our baby since they are so highly recommended. For my review, I was sent a variety of Dr. Brown's products to try. I was sent the newborns feeding set which comes with 2 sizes of baby bottles, nipples, storage caps and cleaning brushes. I plan (and hope to succeed) to breastfeed but will be working full-time. Therefore, I will need bottles to use for when I am gone. These bottles help to reduce colic in babies including spit-up, burping and gas. I have heard that a lot of babies have these issues so I know that this will be very beneficial. We were also sent a cleaning brush for the bottles. I want to be able to keep the bottles very clean an

All But Gluten Review and Giveaway

All But Gluten is a company that makes gluten-free baked goods. I love trying different gluten-free products since so many people now require a gluten-free diet. It is good to know which products taste good and which ones are not worth it. For my review, I was sent a variety of products from All But Gluten to try out. I was sent a variety of breads including cinnamon raisin loaf, whole grain and white. I do not eat white bread so I have not tried that kind. I like the whole grain variety though and have been eating it toasted with peanut butter or for a sandwich. The baked goods are my favorite products from All But Gluten. My husband really liked the chocolate chip cookies and said that you could not tell that they are gluten-free. I personally like the mini brownies the best. They are chewy, sweet and satisfying. Another great product is the All But Gluten blueberry muffins. These products are dairy-free as well as gluten-free. These muffins are tasty and my husband h

Wildtree Review

Wildtree Review

Wildtree was founded on the idea that food should be natural, nutritious, tasty and easy to prepare. These products are made with no preservatives, additives, MSG, GMO's, fillers or dyes. Wildtree makes all kinds of products that help make your cooking easier. For my review, I was sent a variety of different products. Mojitos are my favorite alcoholic beverage. Of course, right now I cannot have one being pregnant. I wanted to try this mix so I decided to make a mocktail. I combined the mojito mix with sparkling water and it was quite tasty! The zesty lemon grapeseed oil is flavorful and a great addition to salad dressing. I added this and loved the fresh lemon flavor. I think that it would also  be good with fish. I'm a fan of beer bread but do not like that it is typically made with refined flours. This one is whole wheat so I was excited to try it. It is easy to make and I feel a lot better eating something higher in fiber and nutrients than a refined carbohydrat

Quest Bars Review

Quest Bars Review

I am a huge fan of Quest Bars . I reviewed them last year after seeing them about 20 times per day on Instagram. I love all of the flavors. These bars are very high in protein and fiber and very low in sugar. Each bar has 20 grams of protein!! I had not tried the cookies and cream bar until now. It is Quest's newest flavor and has no added sugar, 3 net carbs and 21 grams of protein. These bars are gluten free as well. This flavor was great! It reminded me of cookies and cream ice cream. I think that this particular flavor would be awesome broken into little pieces in ice cream. Quest bars are good eaten plain but even better microwaved for 20 seconds or baked for a few minutes in the oven. People love to make Quest Bar cookies by breaking them into pieces and baking them. Some of my favorite flavors of Quest Bars are the banana nut muffin, chocolate chip cookie dough and apple pie. I like them all though so it is hard to choose favorites. A lot of these bars are hard on my

Feetures Socks Review and Giveaway

Feetures Socks Review and Giveaway

I was recently sent some socks from Feetures to try out and review. The first thing that catches my eye about these socks is the bright and fun color that they come in. I love wearing bright socks and it helps get my workout motivation going (hey, anything that helps, right?). I was sent the elite, light cushion, no show socks to try out. These socks feature a power arch for compression where it is needed most. They have an anatomical design that enhances the fit for added comfort and to eliminate blisters. They sock moisture away to keep your feet cool and dry. I really like these socks. I can definitely feel a different wearing these compared to cheap socks. The other socks that I was sent were from the high performance line. These are made to help reduce blisters and have a seamless toe. They are made for both men and women and you can choose if you want the ultralight variety or the light cushion. The lyrca in the socks hugs for foot for support which is what helps to redu

Seven Sundays Muesli - I was sent some of this delicious muesli to try in different flavors including vanilla cherry pecan, ginger pear macadamia, original toasted and bircher. My favorite is the original toasted muesli because I love the toasted flavor of nuts and it tastes great in this mix. It is packed with real, healthy ingredients including almonds, banana chips, coconut, brazil nuts, currants, honey, flax seeds, oats and more. Measure out a serving though because muesli is nut

Apera Bag Review and Giveaway

I have seen Apera bags on other blogs and always thought that looked really nice. For my review, I chose the sling back tote in black. I was thinking that a bag would be great that was versatile for men and women. I can use this bag to carry my laptop and Troy can take it to work with his school stuff. Also, I was thinking that I may be able to use this bag as a diaper bag for Troy. Since he has the summers off of work as a teacher, he will be staying home with the baby at those times. He will need a diaper bag that is not too girly and this can work great. It can also be used for different exercise activities such as yoga, gym classes or pilates. It comes in black, blue and white. I almost went with the white bag because it is so sharp! It can be worn over your shoulder or across your body for gym or work. It has an antimicrobial protection cover inside and outside the bag. It has ventilated compartments, a waterproof base and wipeable linings to keep the bag clean and d

Coffee Beanery Review and Giveaway

Coffee Beanery Review and Giveaway

I have written about the Coffee Beanery a couple of times here on the blog before. They are honestly my favorite coffees and I get so sad when I run out of them. While the regular coffee flavors are good, I prefer the flavored varieties. They have so many different unique varieties and I have never had one that I didn't like. I recently had the opportunity to try some of their decaf varieties. I had not tried a completely decaf one before. I have had the half-caf though which is really good and what I am currently drinking while at work. Since I have been pregnant, I am very cautious of my caffeine intake. I allow myself the equivalent to one cup of coffee per day. Sometimes, I want more coffee than that though. These decaf options are so perfect for me. I have been enjoying trying the different ones each morning when I wake up (I normally don't have any caffeine till about 11 AM). I was sent some awesome flavors including blueberry cobbler, sinful sundae, Hawaiian co

Mini Me Maternity Review and Giveaway

Mini Me Maternity Review and Giveaway

I mentioned in my first trimester recap post  that I exercised daily during my first trimester. It made me feel so much better. I am now a few weeks into my second trimester and continue to do the same. With each week passing, my belly is growing bigger (as well as other things) and some of my workout clothes are getting too small. I recently found Mini Me Maternity which is a company that sells maternity workout tops. For my review, I was sent a couple of workout tops to try. The first top is the zobha classic racerback maternity tank. It comes in many colors and I was sent it in black. It features a racerback and offers support. It has a shelf bra and I think it will fit a growing belly well. I was also sent the zobha katherine maternity tank in blue ice to review. As you can see in the picture, the top is longer in the front which will fit my belly really well. I think that this top is flattering and it could even be worn out for other uses. Both of the tops from Mini Me M

What kind of financial animal are you?

I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of  Mom Central  for TCF Bank. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating. #MC This is not a topic that I talk about too often here on the blog but finances is a topic that I am very passionate about. I love to save money in any way that I can. I am always reading up on different ways to save. For example, I use all kinds of coupons on my groceries and beauty products, I use energy saving products to save money on electricity and I regularly try to contribute to my Roth IRA and 401k accounts. I can't write about finances without giving a huge amount of credit to my dad who has pretty much taught me everything that I know. He is my financial adviser and taught me many things about finances when I was growing up. To this day, I call him with questions about finances that I am confused about. This April is National Financial Literacy Month. TCF Bank is wanting for us to consider our financial habits and take the

Wear Me Out Clothing Review and Giveaway

Wear Me Out Clothing is a company that sells different workout clothing, activewear, yogawear, lifestylewear, etc. For my review I chose a workout top and bottom to review. I chose the Christmas fuschia single racerback tank to review. The reason that I chose this particular top is because I love the color of the top and I thought that the racerback looked really neat. It is made with WNO Original 300 material and is moisture wicking and quick drying. The top is breathable and shrink resistant. It has a built in bra and thicker straps for comfort. This top fit me well even at 15 weeks pregnant. It seems like a nice quality and really does wick moisture away well. It is available in a variety of different colors. I was also sent the Christmas fuchsia cinch back capri that matches the top. I have not really gained any weight in my legs or butt but these capris fit very tightly on me and were my usual size. I would recommend sizing up a size if you are worried. These have a ci

Vitality Foods Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial. I love trying healthier, ready-made foods. I know that many people are super busy at times and don't have the time or the energy to make lunch or dinner. I found a company called Vitality Foods which makes frozen vegetarian and vegan meals. I chose a few meals to try out and enjoyed them. The first meal that I tried was the Paula P's Creamy Mac. This is a vegan macaroni and cheese. It is made with carrots, cauliflower, cashews, lemon juice, liquid aminos, garlic and nutritional yeast. Honestly, it was not very creamy but it was tasty and I think that it was a good vegan option. I had a big salad on the side with mine to round out the meal. The Barehanded Protein Burritos were pretty delicious! They have tofu, potatoes, garlic, onions, mushrooms and nutritional yeast. My husband had these for a meal and enjoyed them with some hot sauce. Two of these burritos have 28 grams of protein which is pretty amazing for
