Jem Chocolate and Nut Butter Review

I love trying new kinds of nut butter and when I saw these unique flavors that Jem makes, I knew that I had to try them.  I was sent the cinnamon red maca almond butter and the coconut cardamom almond butter. They also sell chocolate bars as well.

The first product that I tried was the cinnamon red maca almond butter. This almond butter is extremely smooth (similar to the consistency of caramel sauce) and creamy.  It is a raw and organic nut butter and is sold in little 6 oz jars. It is made with sprouted almonds, coconut palm sugar, red maca, cinnamon, and vanilla.  I like the simple ingredient list with no unknown ingredients.
This nut butter is very sweet which is different than some.  It is very good on plain oatmeal or plain bread. It is more like eating a dessert than nut butter. I did not care for it on sweet bread as it was too sweet then.

The coconut cardamom almond butter is very unique as well.  It has a medium cardamom flavor (you can taste it but it is not too strong). This is sweet as well and tastes deliciously coconutty.  My very favorite thing to have this almond butter with is pretzels. Since it is so drippy, you can dip a pretzel in there very easily instead of having to spread it on.

Also, I bet these would be great in place of chocolate sauce or caramel on ice cream or another dessert. The company also sells chocolate hazelnut spread which I would very much like to try. Check out Jem for unique nut butters that are sweet and tasty.

  1. I have never heard of those types of butters before! I always thought they were just plain peanut, almond, cashew, etc.

    I guess I was wrong!
