This easy and delicious Spicy Snack Mix makes the perfect healthier snack that is loaded with flavor!
Awhile ago, I made this spicy snack mix for Troy and it turned out so much better than I imagined! I ended up eating a bunch of it because it was so good.
We had a bunch of unflavored popcorn, peanuts and soynuts to use up so I wanted to add some flavor since I knew that my husband would like that better. I have made a couple different snack mixes since and you can use any flavors you like and any snacks that you have on hand.
Spicy Snack Mix
1 bag of unbuttered, unsalted popcorn, popped (about 6 cups popped)
1 cup soynuts, unsalted
1 cup peanuts, unsalted
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder
1. Over medium heat, heat oil in a pan.
2. Once oil is hot, add soynuts and peanuts to pan and cook until nuts are toasted- about 3-5 minutes.
3. Add popcorn and all spices and stir until mix is covered in spices.
You can store this in a plastic bag and enjoy all week.
