This 5-minute-or-less caramel apple cider cocktail is perfect for any fall day with a caramel-brown sugar rim for sweetness!
Well guys and gals, it is officially fall here in Michigan. It is a high of 47 degrees today. I haven't seen the sun for a second. It wasn't light enough until after 9 AM to take pictures. Over 50% of the leaves have changed colors and it is so beautiful.
It took a bit for me to get away from summer foods and to want to make fall foods but I have finally "fallen" for fall. I have been making everything apple, pumpkin, squash, etc. The grill has been used less and less and the oven for roasted vegetables and other food has been used more and more.
One of the top things that remind me of fall is apple cider. I love the flavor and think that nothing else tastes like it. One weekend, I had such a strong craving for apple cider and doughnuts that I went and bought some right away.
I decided to create this caramel apple cider cocktail (or mocktail you could call it) for the perfect fall beverage. What makes it unique is that it has a brown sugar and caramel rim. I love the texture that it provides when you take a sip! My husband and I were huge fans of these.
Caramel Apple Cider Cocktail
1 1/2 cups apple cider
2 cups 7UP TEN®
1/2 large apple, sliced
~1 tablespoon caramel sauce
~2 teaspoons brown sugar
1. Lightly heat caramel sauce and pour on a plate. Add brown sugar to another plate.
2. Turn glass upside down and cover rim in caramel sauce. Then, move glass to the other plate and cover rim in brown sugar.
3. Add apple slices to glass. Pour in 7UP TEN® and apple cider.
Enjoy! If you would like, you could add your favorite alcohol of choice such as rum, wine or vodka to make it an adult cocktail.
