Not On The High Street Review
Not on the High Street is a UK company that sells all sorts of cute crafty items. They have home decorating items, bedding, art, kitchen items, wedding items, baby & child items, etc. For my review, I chose something that would make me very happy: a dachshund wall hanging.
I was sent the "Dachshunds in Love" picture by Penny Lindop Designs. It is made in the UK but can be shipped to the US. I have 2 mini dachshunds so I knew that this would be perfect. Also, one of them is a little bit chunkier than the other. In the picture I was sent, one is a bit larger also so I love it even more. Right now, this picture is on my mantle but will be getting hung up soon. It seems to be nice quality and is a very simple, clean design.
This picture is printed on a cotton rag paper handmade in southern India. Cotton rags have longer fibres than linters which are the shorter fluffy fibres of the cotton seed generally used in papermaking. Genuine rag papers are rare and it is the fibre length of this raw material that gives this particular rag paper its exceptional strength and durability. The cotton rag used comes from T-shirt cuttings, a reliable source of pure woven cotton.
