Almond Strawberry Spinach Smoothie

This Almond Strawberry Spinach Smoothie is a unique combination of ingredients that taste great together! Ready in 3 minutes or less.
On these hot summer days, I love to create cold smoothies that are tasty and filling. I created this recipe for an Almond Strawberry Spinach Smoothie using the new Naked Berry Veggie juice. As part of a Glam program, I was asked to create a recipe using this juice and this is what I came up with.

My inspiration for this smoothie is that I knew I wanted to use spinach and strawberries and then I remembered the popular strawberry almond spinach salad. These three ingredients could be used to create a sweet smoothie instead of a savory/sweet salad. This turned out well and was very refreshing.

The new Naked Berry Veggie Juice contains the following fruits and vegetables in a 15.2 ounce serving: 15 Sweet Cherries, 6 1/2 Strawberries, 1 1/2 Purple Carrots, 1/3 Red Beet, 1/8 Sweet Potato, 91 Kernels Sweet Corn, 18 Chickpeas, 1/4 Plum and 1/5 Apple. Wow! Tons of fruits and vegetables. An 8 ounce serving of the juice is 130 calories and contains 5 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein. You cannot taste the vegetables in it and it made for a great smoothie base.

Serves: 2

Ingredients:
3/4 cup frozen strawberries
3/4 cup raw spinach leaves
1 large peeled carrot
15 raw or roasted almonds
1 cup Naked berry veggie juice

Directions:
Blend all ingredients together until very smooth. If you like your smoothies very thick, you can add a handful of ice.

Nutrition: Per 1/2 recipe: 156 calories, 4.8 grams fat, 4 grams protein, 4 grams fiber, 133% vitamin A

This smoothie is tasty and packed full of nutrients. I would drink it for breakfast, a snack or after a workout.
