slide-001

  1. ProYo
This protein rich frozen yogurt is delicious! It is a brand new product being sold at Northern California Whole Foods Market stores, Nugget Market stores in the greater-Sacramento area and Complete Nutrition in Santa Barbara.
Proyo High Protein Frozen Yogurt- 20 grams/serving!

They come in 4 different flavors: Dutch chocolate, banana vanilla, vanilla bean and blueberry pomegranate. The frozen yogurt comes in an easy to serve tube and has 160 calories, 20 g protein, 3 grams fiber, 14 g sugar and 2 grams fat. They also have 20% of your daily recommended calcium.

Proyo
It uses real ingredients as well: Skim Milk (Cultured with the following live active cultures: Bifidobacterium lactis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus lactis, Streptococcus thermophilus), Whole Milk, Whey Protein Concentrate, Sugar, Whey Protein Isolate, Organic Inulin, Banana Puree, Natural Flavors including Vanilla Extract, Dextrose, Ground Vanilla Beans, Disodium Phosphate, Stevia Extract.

I am very impressed by all of these flavors. Every single one was delicious! My favorite would have to be the banana vanilla followed by the blueberry pomegranate. The frozen yogurt is so, so creamy and has a very smooth texture.

It comes fairly firm but I used the defrost setting on my microwave for about 30 seconds and it was ready to go (or you could wait about 5-10 minutes). I liked getting a boost of protein in for a snack. They are sweet and can be used in place of ice cream.

These would be perfect for after a workout when you need a boost of protein and are craving ice cream or something sweet. I highly recommend them and can’t wait till they come in stores near me!

 Earth Balance
  1. Earth Balance
Earth Balance is a company that sells vegan butter, nut butters, mayonnaise, soymilk and more. I was sent a couple of free product coupons to try out their products. I chose the vegan buttery sticks and a tub of the natural buttery spread in original. They are made with a natural oil blend of palm fruit, canola oil, soybean, flax and olive oils.

I have used the buttery sticks in the past and they work really well for baking. I have made cookies and muffins with them. They contain 0 trans fat. The buttery spead also works well on toast or anything else that calls for butter.  Earth Balance is a healthier option for butter that tastes great.

Califia Farms
  1. Califia Farms Almond Milk
This company sells almond milk and almond milk coffee. I cannot get over how much my husband and I love this Califia Farms pure iced coffee with almond milk. They had two kinds to offer: double espresso and café latte. Both were good but I preferred the café latte. It is a mix of coffee, almond milk and is lightly sweetened.

I picked this up at Whole Foods and drank some on the way home (I had a cup in my car) while stuck in rush hour traffic. I am actually not usually a fan of almond milk but this company changed my mind. My husband usually does not like trying the different kinds of milk that I buy but he actually loved this. It is also approved by my sister and brother’s fiancée. It is 90 calories per 8 oz cup.

The almond milk is excellent too. It is good for those who are vegan or who cannot tolerate dairy products. I used it in my coffee, in eggs and in cereal. It is vanilla flavored but is not very strong so you could use it in savory dishes as well. It only has 50 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 1 gram of protein and 1 gram fiber.

I was honestly very impressed by this almond milk and iced coffee. I would definitely purchase them both in the future.
