Growing up, my mom would make this drink all winter long for my siblings and I. We all loved the drink and I recently remembered about it and knew that I had to make it because it is so good. My mom made it with cinnamon hard candies instead of ground cinnamon like I used but both ways are great.

This beverage is great hot or cold and the flavors blend so well together. When I took my first sip when recipe testing, it reminded me of my childhood. I like my beverages tart so I use a decent amount of lemon juice in this but if you prefer no tartness in a beverage, you may want to reduce the amount of the lemon juice a bit.

As we head into colder weather, this drink is awesome on a cold day. It is great after going outside and playing in the snow when you want a hot beverage that is not coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

I have been enjoying it this fall as well when going to different fall events such as halloween events when it is chilly out or early morning walks. The busiest time of year is coming up: the holidays! While I love them, they certainly can be stressful with so much to do and so little time to it. I used a packet of Emergen-C® Super Orange in this drink to help support our immune systems as we head into busy season.*

Emergen-C® has some new items out including Emergen-C® Energy+ Blueberry-A├žai fizzy drink mix, Immune+® Gummies Orange and an old favorite, Emergen-C® Super Orange fizzy drink mix which I picked up at Walmart. They have over 20 flavors and a variety of special formulas. They have ones for sleep support, as well as energy to focus your mind and revitalize your body. The gummies contain vitamin C, D and B vitamins. They are chewable and a different way to take your vitamins if you prefer this instead of the vitamin drink mix.
In this recipe, I used Emergen-C® Super Orange which is packed with Vitamin C plus other key antioxidants such as zinc and manganese. It adds to the orange flavor and is tasty. The Emergen-C® Energy+ has natural caffeine from green tea and comes in a few fruity flavors. It comes in packets that you can take with you anywhere. Whip this drink up in just 5 minutes and enjoy!
