A Thursday Off Work

I always work Monday through Friday every week...except this week.  I decided to take Thursday off this week because I had to get my puppy neutered, Troy had the day off, and there are some issues going on at work that it's better that I work on Saturday instead.

Troy and I left the house at around 7:30 and then dropped Jaxen off at the vet (poor baby!). Then, we went out for a quick Burger King breakfast, shopping at Marshalls and Target, and then drove to our old college campus.  We have not been back to our college since Troy graduated last May.  We walked around the campus for an hour and really enjoyed reminiscing about college.  After all, it is where I met my husband ; )
 We found some baby geese

Saw the water fountain that we always used to walk by

And snuck took Ava into the WMU rock museum (shhhh you did not see her in there). Troy's degree is in earth science so he was thrilled to show me the pretty rocks

Then we went to lunch at our FAVORITE Mexican restaurant (La Pinata- in Kalamazoo, MI)

Around 2, we picked up Jaxen who seemed to be okay.  Then about 30 minutes after we picked him up, he started to break out in hives and was having an allergic reaction from the shots. Within minutes, his face was so swollen.  I called the vet ASAP and they told me to give him a Benadryl.  That worked in about an hour.  Poor puppy had such a rough day.
Sooooo swollen : (
His nose normal for comparison.

Overall, it was a great day and I am very happy that Jaxen is doing so much better now.
