Christmas 2012

Whoops...I'm a little late blogging about Christmas. It was too great of a holiday to not post about so I had to share. On Christmas Eve, we went to my parents house and had a Polish dinner. On Christmas day, Troy's family and mine came to our house and celebrated. It was great!
 My family on Christmas Eve

Polish food- from top left cooked prunes and apricots, kielbasa and sauerkraut, creamed cucumbers, the best ham and pierogi in the middle

 New pajamas

Then we played Just Dance 4- my dad and I

Christmas day with Troy's family and mine : )

 The food
And dessert- the cheesecake is a homemade lemon cheesecake made by my mother-in-law that was amazing.

It was the best Christmas of my life so far and was great getting to spend time with family and eat tasty food.

  2. I LOVE the family pics! Especially the one of both families at your house...that is precious. The food also looks great, but I am curious about the creamed cucumbers. Is that a warm dish, or is it like a cucumber salad? I make the latter with either mayo or Greek yogurt, but tend to have it in the summer because it's so cool and refreshing. I have always wondered about if there are any warm cucumber dishes.

Thanks for sharing your holidays with us!

  3. Thank you! My sister made the cucumber salad. It is a cold salad with dill, vinegar and I believe sour cream. It was a nice addition to the rest of the heavier food.
