Among Friends Review and Giveaway

Among Friends is a company that makes healthier baking mixes. They use whole grains, no white flour, are low in sugar and use quality ingredients. For my review, I was sent the Evan's Heavenly cookie mix, Phil 'Em Up Cookie Mix, Trish the Dish Crisp Mix and the Shane's Cookie mix.

For the superbowl, I had my family over. I knew that I had plenty of savory foods planned but wanted something sweet. I baked up the Evans' Heavenly Cookie Mix. It called for 6 tablespoons of butter but instead, I used 4 and 3 tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce. They turned out amazing.

My family really enjoyed these and there were only 3 left over at the end of the game. It is an oatmeal raisin cookie mix and is very tasty. They were chewy and did not taste extremely healthy (which is good- you do not want a cookie to taste overly healthy). This cookie mix uses spelt flour, oats, raisins, almond meal, flax seed and cinnamon.

I would definitely recommend this mix! I can't wait to use the crisp mix as well. It uses oats, flax and almond meal. I love that it is a healthier take on a traditionally heavier food. I'm hoping to find some nice apples to make an apple crisp.

Giveaway
The giveaway will be for 3 Among Friends baking mixes to 2 readers.
