DailyBurn Supplements

When it comes to proper nutrition, I usually turn to nutritious foods to make sure that I am getting what I need. Sometimes with working out, you may need (or want) a little more and may turn to supplements or protein powders to get the nutrients that you need to feel your best.

I was sent some products from DailyBurn to try out including their pre workout amplifier, post workout recovery and fuel-6, their plant based protein powder. As I have talked about before, I like using protein powders at certain times. When I want a smoothie, I like including protein powder for an extra boost of nutrition. I have also used it in baked goods, popsicles, etc.

I tried the Fuel-6 in a smoothie and liked it. It was not chalky and gave a nice, sweet vanilla flavor to my smoothie that went well with my other ingredients (banana, spinach, ice and milk of choice). It is a vegan protein powder that is soy-free, gluten-free and non-dairy. It is composed of 6 different plain proteins including quinoa, hemp, whole grain rice protein, artichoke protein, pea protein and sacha inchi seed. It has no artificial flavors or sweeteners.

Flavors of Fuel-6 include vanilla and chocolate. One serving has 170 calories, 24 grams of protein and 4 grams of sugar. I enjoyed trying this protein and like how it is made with plant proteins making it safe for people with dairy allergies, those who are vegan or those with certain food allergies.

I have not used pre or post-workout supplements but these may be beneficial for those who take those.
