The Vitamin Shoppe: Protein Pantry

I am the biggest fan of nut butters. I do not think that a day ever goes by where I don't have some type of nut butter. Peanut, almond, cashew, sunflower seed- I don't discriminate. I was recently send an awesome package from the Vitamin Shoppe which was filled with nut butters and high protein foods. When I opened my package, I literally squealed! I was so excited for all of the goodies that I got to try.

I've been a fan of Buff Bake high protein nut butter for years and loved trying this white chocolate one. It is sweet and very creamy. It makes the perfect dessert. I like it on fruit, in my oatmeal, in yogurt or on a rice cake.

When it comes to breakfast, I like a sweet meal for the most part. The problem with this is sweet breakfast foods are often not filling. For example, when my husband and I have cold cereal for breakfast, you can find us looking for more to eat an hour later.

I was excited to get to try About Time's protein pancake mixes. These mixes are high in protein and will help to keep you full for longer. I hate feeling like I am ready for lunch at 10 AM so these mixes are great. I got to try the chocolate chip and cinnamon spice flavors which both were great. My daughter enjoyed them too!

I like the Flapjacked Mighty Muffins as well, especially the apple cinnamon flavor. These cook in the microwave and are ready in no time. Each one has 20 grams of protein!

I have lots of other fun products to try too such as Mancakes mixes, P28 high protein spread and D's Naturals vanilla maple almond butter.

All of these items are sold at the Vitamin Shoppe in their new Protein Pantry. They offer high-protein foods such as pancake mixes and nut butters in this section. I often struggle with getting enough protein since I love carbs, fruits and vegetables so this is a great way for me to get more protein.
