5 Activities To Do Outside This Summer

The weather has finally warmed up here in Michigan and we are loving our time spent outside. After being cooped up all winter long, getting to go outside without 12 layers on feels like such a treat! I wanted to share some of the things that the kids, Troy and I are doing outside this spring and summer.

While it is amazing to be outside, the allergies that we've been suffering from is no funAdalyn, who is 3 ½ years old, has been complaining of allergy symptoms which puts her not in a good mood. Children’s Claritin®  is a huge relief  and I pick it up at my local Target in the healthcare aisle near the pharmacy. It offers 24-hour, non-drowsy, allergy symptom relief and gets us back outside and having fun. Makesure to use this 20% off Target Cartwheel offer to save on your purchase.

1. Visiting every playground

When the weather warms up, we start visiting all of the playgrounds. It is a great way for kids to stay active and so fun to visit different ones. Bring a picnic to your favorite park and spend a fun day this way.

2. Writing with chalk

Adalyn is at the age where she loves to practice writing and coloring with chalk is super fun for her. She writes her name, mom, dad, etc. She loves drawing rainbows too!

3. Going on family walks

Nearly every single day when the weather is nice, we go outside and go on family walks. We typically take the stroller and both kids ride in it. Adalyn is getting awesome at walking on her own though so if we plan to go only about a mile, she will walk.

4. Blowing bubbles

Blowing bubbles is age appropriate for Adalyn and Oliver making it the perfect thing to do! It is so much fun to see the kids run around and chase the bubbles.

5. Eating outside

We recently had our first outdoor meal of the season and it was wonderful! I want to try to eat outside as much as possible when the weather is nice. There is something so special being able to do so when it is too cold about 8 months of the year.

What are some of your favorite things to do outside with your kids?
