Grilled Greek Yogurt Pizza
I have a super simple, delicious healthy grilled pizza recipe to share with you! It uses a Greek yogurt pizza dough that is only 4-ingredients that you very well may have on hand. The Greek yogurt pizza dough is yeast-free which I love because cooking with yeast intimidates me a bit. Top with your favorite toppings of choice and this Grilled Greek Yogurt Pizza is sure to be a recipe that your whole family loves.

Easy Grilled Pizza

Grilling Pizza

If you're anything like my family, you probably have a love for pizza. We eat pizza often and in all different forms: frozen pizzas, homemade, takeout, flatbread pizzas, zucchini pizza, etc. We don't grill pizza all that often because we always seem to forget about it. It is about a once a summer occurrence that we remember to grill pizza and every time we make it, we are so glad that we did. It is delicious!

Whole-Wheat Greek Yogurt Pizza Dough

Whole-Wheat Greek Yogurt Pizza Dough

Now let's talk about that whole-wheat Greek yogurt pizza dough! Pizza dough pretty much doesn't get healthier or easier to make than this! It is made with 100% white whole-wheat flour which is what I use for most of my baking and is higher in protein, fiber and vitamins and minerals than all-purpose flour. The Greek yogurt gives it a giant boost of calcium and protein. This is a totally guilt-free pizza dough recipe and it tastes amazing!

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza

Grilled Pizza Toppings

Now this is where it gets really fun! The topping options for a grilled pizza are endless. We love pepperoni, mushrooms, green olives, tomatoes, jalapenos, banana peppers, green peppers and more on our pizza. When I make pizza at home, which is very often, we use a combination of these toppings and more to make our own pizzas. We also love cheeseburger pizza, BBQ chicken pizza, buffalo chicken pizza and more. We definitely do not discriminate. Though, Adalyn is pretty set on having some combination of pepperoni and banana peppers now!

I highly recommend making this Greek yogurt pizza dough and trying different combinations of toppings. We love switching it up so that we never get bored and it is so fun to try different kinds of pizzas.

Healthy Whole-Wheat Pizza
I teamed up with the North American Meat Institute on behalf of the Beef Checkoff today to share some information on processed beef. While I always recommend an overall healthy diet, I also love a balanced diet. This includes having different treats including pepperoni on pizza, corned beef on my favorite Reuben sandwich and a grilled beef hot dog.

Some other examples of processed beef include roast beef, pastrami, beef jerky, salami and beef sausage. My family enjoys all of these kinds of beef on occasion and they fit well into our overall healthy diet. I balance the pepperoni and cheese on this pizza with the whole-wheat Greek yogurt dough and a salad on the side. Pepperoni is typically made from beef and pork but there are lots of choices. What a delicious meal!

Healthy Pepperoni Pizza

Here are some facts on processed beef:

-Processed just means prepared. These meats are prepared at a plant, simply on a large scale.
-All meat in the US is approved by the Food and Drug Administration and the USDA which regulates meat and poultry. They are inspected before they are even sold for safety and quality.
-Prepared beef has nutrition benefits- just like other meat. It is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals including iron and zinc. I believe that they can fit into a healthy and balanced diet just like other meats can be.
-There are lots of processed meat options. Look for those with low-sodium and reduced-sodium, low-fat or reduced fat, etc. for a healthier choice.

Enjoy this grilled Greek yogurt pizza dough recipe and throw a few pepperoni on there for that classic pizza taste that your family will love!
