Tips for preparing for this time of year including what to stock up on, eating nutritious foods, washing your hands and more!
I have realized it is time to get it into gear and get our house and ourselves prepped for the winter season so that we can stay as well as possible. Today, I'm sharing my Tips for Preparing for this time of year by stocking up on wellness essentials at Kroger

Tips for Preparing for Cold and Flu Season

1. Eat nutritious foods

My favorite way to keep my immune system strong is to eat a variety of nutritious foods. All year long, we buy all different kinds of fruits and vegetables to help our bodies get the vitamins and minerals that it needs.

2. Stock your home with Kleenex® products

Boogers. A mom's favorite part of September-April. Oh, the dreaded boogers that seem to last over half of the year. Kids are known for having a runny noses and as a mom of 3, I have to be well stocked on Kleenex® for when the drippy noses start. I like any and all Kleenex® products and just recently started using the Kleenex® Germ Removal Wet Wipes™ for Oliver, especially because everything always seems to get dried up and this helps to get his nose clean.

Two year olds are definitely known for their germs and touching everything so I like knowing that he is not spreading germs as much with these. These wipes are thick and soft on our skin and wipe away 99% of germs from hands and faces- plus, they are safe for kids.  When stocking up at Kroger, you can also Kleenex® Single Packs (50ct and up) BUY 3 (THREE) for $4, offer valid 12/8/19 -1/4/20 Save $1 on Kleenex® bundle-packs (75ct – 160ct.), offer valid 12/25/19 -1/7/20 Kleenex® Wet Wipes™ 20-24ct packs $1.49 all month in December 2019.

Don't miss out!

3. Wash your hands often

As we all know, hand washing is one of the most important thing to do to keep bacteria at bay. When Adalyn comes home from school, we try to be diligent to remind her to wash her hands, especially before touching the baby. We like using Dial Complete® Foaming Hand Wash - White Tea not only because it smells great, but the kids love the foaming feature. It is antibacterial and kills 99.99% of bacteria found in household settings, ideal for everyday use.

Save $1.50 on any TWO (2) Dial Complete® Foaming Hand Washes. Excludes trial & travel size. Begins 12/1/19 for limited time only.

4. Get enough sleep

This one is tough at the moment because I have a 2 1/2 month old baby but as much as I can, I try to get enough sleep so that I can feel my best and fight out sickness as much as possible. During the school year, we are pretty strict on bedtimes for the kids and make sure that they are getting plenty of sleep each nigh.

5. Find fun ways to get lots of vitamin C

Vitamin C is important for supporting your immunity* and we make sure to get it in lots of different ways. We have "citrus parties" where I cut up oranges, grapefruit and blood oranges and eat a ton of these. My kids love fruit so this is always enjoyed. I love having a fun drink in different fruity flavors too. I was excited to see 3 flavors of Emergen-C® in my local Kroger and chose to try out the Emergen-C® Raspberry. I look forward to drinking it this fall/winter to make sure that I am getting plenty of Vitamin C. It is a great dietary supplement to have all winter long. Emergen-C is fizzy and has 1,000 mg of Vitamin C as well as other vitamins and antioxidants. *

6. Get a flu shot

My whole family already got their flu shot this year before Halloween. We get it annually to help prevent getting the flu. Plus, it’s also super convenient that you can get it when stocking up at your local Kroger store!

I picked up the Emergen-C ®, Kleenex® and Dial Complete® foaming hand wash at Kroger. For the last three years, I have been getting most of my Winter season products there and they have a great variety. They are the perfect one stop shop for all of my groceries and health care needs.
