Urgent Care from the Comfort of Your Home

Amwell Urgent Care is available 24/7 from the comfort of your home where you can talk to a doctor quickly and get the medical advice you need.
The beginning of November has been a little rough for the kids and I. Oliver had a runny nose that lasted literally 5 weeks. Adalyn had a runny nose and whenever it was time to go to school, she felt "so sick". I was hit with the worst sore throat that then turned into a couple weeks of having a cold and when I'm sick, I have a really hard time sleeping. Troy and Lily were lucky that they didn't get sick. I was especially happy that Lily didn't since she is only 4 months old and it could have resulted in her needing to get hospitalized if she got sick enough.

At the tail end of our colds, I learned about online urgent care that is available through Amwell. It is available 24/7 for immediate urgent care. I love this because our local urgent cares close early and this way, if I had an important question even in the middle of the night (that didn't require the emergency room), I could ask it. You can hop right on a video call with a doctor from home. You can do the appointment right from your phone and can get a prescription if needed quickly.

You can have your urgent care appointment right from the comfort of your own home. This is one of the best features because as you probably know, it is not fun to have to leave your house when you are sick. You can stay in your pajamas with a cup of hot tea and a blanket wrapped around you.

When Amwell urgent care can help:
-Fevers
-Cold and flu
-Travel
-Illnesses with kids
-Allergies
-Sinus infections
-Stomach bugs
-Rashes
-UTIs

It is super easy to book an appointment with Amwell urgent care and they can get you seen quickly. A couple of times that I can think of that I would have used this service is when Oliver kept having boogers for them to let me know what they think of that and if he would need medicine. Another time that it would come in handy is if a child was vomiting and you needed some advice to start hydration and to know what fever temperature to be concerned about.

Amwell is not a replacement for emergency situations. It can complement in-person care. Still go to your nearest emergency room or physician if you need it. Amwell is great because it is available 24/7 right from home. Download the Amwell app so you can have it on hand when you may need it or use it right from your computer.
