This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

Like any other blogger, I want my blog posts that I work so hard on to be seen by my readers. The way to get eyes on your blog posts that you spend so much time on is to increase your blog traffic which is what I want to share tips on today! I am no expert but I have been blogging for 10 years and have increased my traffic enough to make a full-time income from my site for about the last 5 years and want to share any tips that I have with you.

Tracking Pixel When I share a healthy recipe that I know is delicious and that people will love, I want it to get plenty of traction so that people can see the recipe and make it for their families. When I share nutrition advice using my nutrition knowledge from having a Master's degree in dietetics, I want people to be able to read that article. When I share a post about the good and the bad aspects of parenting such as the hard times we have had with some things, I want to be able to help other parents who it may help to read it.

Tips to Increase Your Blog Traffic

The Best Greek Chicken Marinade post is doing well on Pinterest!

1. Pinterest

As a food blogger, over half of my traffic comes from Pinterest. I use Tailwind to schedule my posts at the most optimal times that my followers are pinning my content. I make my pins on Canva and pin my most popular posts. Something new that I am doing that I heard Pinterest loves is creating new pins for popular older posts. I spent a couple of hours doing this yesterday and am already seeing results!

2. Participate in a 30-day challenge

I am participating in a 30-day challenge to increase my blog traffic. It is helping to make me accountable by having a task to do each day to help my site. I am reading the book Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers by Russell Brunson. The challenge teaches strategies to increase traffic to your site. It focuses on how to be at the front end of new trends and how to see opportunities that others may not notice. It teaches evergreen traffic strategies to bring optimal customers to your site.

If you are interested in increasing traffic to your blog or other website, check out Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers by Russell Brunson. The book has taught me a lot of tips to help increase traffic that I am working on implementing.

For example, they help you to figure out who your dream customer is. This helps you to know who to direct your posts towards. The book explains the different types of traffic to your site. It helps you focus on what you can do to grow your traffic and get rid of things that do not. For example, it has you leave Facebook groups and unfollow people on Instagram who do not help you reach your goals. The book also helps you to look at people doing similar work to you who are successful. It helps you to see what they are doing that you may be able to do to help grow your business and increase traffic to your site. If you are looking to increase traffic to a website or blog, this book gives a fun challenge that you can do to work on your website traffic.

3. Share other blogger's posts

When you share a friend's post, they are more likely to share your post. This helps to get your post some new views from people who may not be currently following you.

4. Always be honest

I am always honest with my readers. If something is sponsored or I got sent a sample, I always disclose it. I will not take on partnerships that are not a good fit and often turn down things that will not benefit my audience. Being authentic is so important to keep your readers trust.

5. Focus on SEO

I'm going to be honest and say that this is not my strength and that SEO is something that I am constantly working on learning and understanding. Good SEO strategies help to increase traffic from Google which is very important.

6. Share topics that are timely

No one wants a hearty soup recipe in July and no one wants to see a grilling recipe in December. By creating seasonal content, people are more likely to interact with these types of posts instead of skip right over them.

7. Follow your Google Analytics closely to see what your readers want

It can be surprising to log into Google Analytics and see which posts are doing well. While I may predict that one recipe may do awesome, I can be totally off and another one that I didn't know that would do so well can go crazy. I recommend checking often to see which types of posts do well and create more similar content that your readers are interested in.
