Workout Schedule

I love working out and know that after my workout, it's so important to refuel properly. Here is my current workout schedule: lift weights 3-4 days a week in the gym or in a workout class, run 1-2 days per week and walk all in between. My goal is 10,000 steps per day at least. I love being active as it makes me feel my best and is awesome for mental health, especially during these cold winter months! After I workout, I go home and eat pretty much right away. I find that eating within 30 minutes of a workout is best.

High-Protein Whip Ingredients

This is how I make my high-protein whip but you can definitely make it however you want. You could do collagen instead of whey protein powder. You can do any flavor of yogurt you have on hand. You can choose a healthier whipped topping if you like. I keep it simple and use what I have on hand which changes often.

  • Plain Greek yogurt (can also use vanilla Greek yogurt)
  • Vanilla protein powder
  • Zero-sugar whipped topping
  • Creatine

High Protein Whip with Creatine

Benefits of Creatine

Years ago, I thought that creatine supplements were not for women. Wow, have I been educated ever since. About a year ago, I learned about the benefits of creatine and started taking it myself on the days that I lift weights and have loved the benefits. I found a brand of creatine that I love- Naked Creatine HCL Powder. Some brands of creatine make you retain water and cause bloating which I personally noticed and didn't like. This brand is awesome because it contains prickly pear for water balance and to help with natural water elimination. All of the benefits of creatine without the side effect of water retention! This Naked Creatine also has electrolytes which helps with cell hydration and helps maximize creatine transport and uptake.

  • Creatine can help with muscle strength, physical performance, and cognitive health.
  • It also supports bone density which is essential for women, especially during menopause.
  • Boosts mood
  • Helps with workout recovery
  • Boosts energy levels

Protein whip
After reading about the benefits of creatine, I knew that it was something that I wanted to try and I personally have loved seeing the benefits. While I did use the creatine in the recipe, I usually just take a scoop of creatine in my morning coffee along with collagen and 2% milk for a post-workout coffee with benefits.
