Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 Review

When I ran in high school, I did not know much about the types of shoes that I should be wearing. This lead to a lot of foot pain and deep blisters on the ball of my foot due to wearing the improper type of shoes. It wasn't until I started running again two years ago that I really learned about the right type of shoes to wear.

For running, I require extra support and cushioning. Without it, I get injured easily. I had tried a pair of Brooks shoes a couple of years ago in the Trance 12 design (no longer made) and loved them. I ran for about 9 months without any issues. Then, I got a new pair of shoes that were not Brooks brand and were supposed to be just like the Trance 12s and I got injured within a month. I had hurt my knee so badly that it was very painful to run for months so I pretty much gave it up when I was pregnant.

I learned my lesson on getting shoes to run in that are not Brooks. My husband, brother and dad all swear by the Brooks Adrenaline. My brother was a high school and college runner and these are his favorite. My dad and husband have multiple pairs of these shoes. I knew that I had to try them.

For my review, I was sent a pair of the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 shoes to review. I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks now and really like them! They are comfortable and provide the cushioning and support that I need. They do run small so I would recommend ordering a 1/2 size up than usual.

These are some of the features of the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 shoes:
  • BioMoGo DNA midsole provides adaptive cushioning
  • Progressive Diagonal Rollbar for added control
  • Full-length Segmented Crash Pad delivers smooth transitions
  • Moisture-management mesh upper helps feet stay cool and dry
  • Bold new color choices offer style for miles
  • Good for runners with pronation
I am very happy with these shoes. I notice that the area around the toes is wider than some other shoes that I have had- good if you have wider feet and don't want your shoes to be too tight in this area. I absolutely love the hot pink color! They also have a black with coral and purple that is awesome. My husband just bought these in the men's version and is loving them.

My bad knee has been feeling better in these which is so important. I am so scared of getting an injury and want to do what it takes to be injury free. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 shoes are quite a bit less costly than the Brooks Trance 12 shoes that I liked which is nice. I do not think that they sacrifice quality at all at the lower price.  I love these shoes and am excited to see the different adventures that I can have in them!
