Although I am not a fan of "detoxes" or "cleanses", I have found something that I would truly recommend to people who are looking to get back-on-track. DL revAMP is a program that you can do for 3, 7 or 10 days. It is completely plant-based and organic. It comes with all the food that you need for those days. What I like about it is that it is not an all juice program. There is actual food and the food is delicious.
With this program, I have gotten lots of unique salad ideas. I love the coconut chutney salad for example on day 4 which has kale and fresh mango. With DL revAMP, you get to try so, so many different kinds of produce which I love. My daughter got to try butternut squash for the first time not pureed. She loved it and kept stealing chunks of mine!
Each day, there are 7 times to eat/drink plus tea before bed. You start the day with a cran-lemon chia water- I like the little chewy chia seeds throughout. Then, you have breakfast at 8-9 AM. At 11, you have a juice and the kind varies each day.
Lunch everyday is some kind of salad. This meal is lighter than I would eat usually but since you are eating so often, you don't really feel hunry. At 2 PM, you have a power shot.
3 PM, you get a snack which included kale chips, cacao truffles, fruit and chocolate bark. Dinner is on the lighter side with a 16 ounce container of soup.
I love that this is not a super low-calorie plan and that you actually get to eat. If you feel like you are eating too much salt or sugar, I think that it is a great way to help you get back on track. Besides produce, calories come from healthy oils, seeds, cacao, buckwheat, coconut milk and more- all healthy foods.
The breakfasts were great. I loved the cacao breakfast crunch which was like a cold cereal with coconut milk. I shared this with my daughter and she liked it as well. The cleansing berry smoothie was yummy with blueberries and raspberries. The apple power bowl with great too with chunks of fresh apples.
The only negative that I can say about DL revAMP is that it is pretty pricey. If you have the money though, I would highly recommend it. I feel like I have been eating tastier food the last 5 days than I have in awhile. I also feel great! After completing this program, I feel more inspired to eat better and continue to eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
