Lawash Review

I first heard about these Lawash wraps at the Grand Rapids Gordon Food Show and became instantly interested.  The person who was working at the stand showed me how the breads can be crumpled into a ball and how they still would not rip. Since I am a huge fan of wraps, this seemed awesome!

The other thing that really made me want to try these is that they are a local Michigan company. I love trying products from all over the country but finding a Michigan product makes me more excited than anything! These wraps are made in Dearborn, MI which is about 30 minutes from my parent's house.

A few days ago, one of the people from Lawash called me up after I had emailed them and I explained my interest in their products.  They sent me a huge case of their products including the regular ones and the low-carb. Although I am not on a low-carb diet, I liked that the low-carb wraps were only 70 calories per large wrap. The regular ones are still good though at 110 calories.
I was sent 4 flavors including spinach, sun dried tomato, wheat, and white. I was also sent some of their low-carb versions. Right after I opened my package, I made a wrap using one of the low-carb wheat wraps.  Each of these have 7 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber!! That's awesome.  Some of the ingredients include stone ground whole wheat, oat fiber, and flax flour.
I filled my wrap with spinach, tomatoes, herbed goat cheese, pickles, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. I wrapped it up and dug in.  The wrap was delicious! It held all of the ingredients and did not break. It tasted great and I could not tell that it was low-carb. I really love these and will be looking for them in stores near my because they are large, only 70 calories, are filling, healthy, and taste great! Thanks Lawash!
