Soy Protein Bars Review and Giveaway

soy protein bars
I was recently contacted to try a variety of soy protein bars including an Eat-Smart Bar, Nogii Protein Bar and NOW Energy Bar. Some people are highly against eating soy but I am not one of those people.

In fact, every third year, about 60 acres of my dad’s farm are dedicated to growing soybeans. I understand the concern with not eating too much soy products but I believe that soy can be part of a healthy, balanced diet.

Here is some information on soy based protein:
-It is a high quality plant based protein derived from soybeans.

-As other proteins, it can help to preserve lean body mass, promote fat loss and help to keep you full until your next meal.

-Research shows that it is best to have a variety of proteins after a workout to increase recovery and build muscle.

Now Trail Bar
Some examples of soy protein bars are: Eat-Smart Bars, Nogii Protein Bars and NOW Energy Bars. I enjoyed trying these bars for my mid-morning snack. Around 10 AM-11 AM each day, I have some kind of snack which is usually a bar. I like for it to have around 10 grams of protein which will help keep me full until lunchtime.

Some of these bars are higher in calories than I would like (200+) but those will be great for my husband who is always trying to increase his calories. To sum it up, I believe that soy protein can be part of a healthy diet.

Giveaway
The giveaway will be for a variety of soy protein bars and a “Powered by Soy Protein” Traveler Exercise Kit (with jump rope, pedometer and hand workout equipment).

Disclosure: The products, information and two gift packs have been provided by DuPont Nutrition and Health. All opinions are my own.
