New To-Me Foods Part 1

Smart Balance Peanut Butter Popcorn Nuggets
1. Smart Balance Peanut Butter Popcorn Nuggets- I am a big fan of Smart Balance products and use their butters often. When I was offered to try the new peanut butter popcorn nuggets from them, I could not pass these up. It is popcorn rolled in peanut butter, peanuts and oats. They are so good! These are addictive. They are a mix of salty and sweet and are very satisfying. One ounce contains 130 calories so make sure to pay attention to serving sizes. One serving has 6 grams of fat (from the peanuts and PB), 2 grams protein, 2 grams fiber and 8 grams sugar. They are gluten-free and make an awesome snack.

Barlean's Omega Swirl
2. Barlean's Omega Swirl Fish Oil- I was very skeptical to try this product and even said no to the company at first. They really wanted me to try it so I agreed to at least give it a try. I thought that it would be super fishy but I was happily wrong. This flavor is mango peach and tastes more like a fruit smoothie. It is easier than swallowing capsules if you have any issues swallowing pills. I am focusing on getting enough omega-3 in my diet and since I do not eat much fish, this is a great option. It has 720 mg of DHA/EPA per serving. I have been taking this Barlean's Omega Swirl daily, especially for my dry skin and hair. It does have a slightly fishy flavor but not bad.

Simple & Crisp
3. Simple & Crisp- These dried and crispy fruit slices are meant to be paired with other kinds of food. They can be used in place of crackers. I was sent the apples, oranges and pears to try. my favorite was the dried apple fruit crisps. These are organic and gluten-free. I paired my apple slices with peanut butter. The pear slices would be awesome with some hot blue cheese. These would be perfect for a party where you want to create a unique and fancy appetizer. Check out some of the awesome looking pairings below.
