10 Things We Can't Wait to Do This Summer

We absolutely love the summer. The weather is beautiful, there is always so much to do and Troy is off work all summer long because he is a teacher. This means lots of family time which means the world to me! Each year, I make a huge summer bucket list of everything that we want to do that summer. I make sure to check on the list often so we do not forget to do any of our favorite things (and try out new things!).

1. Plant a garden

We love gardening and always plant about 6 tomato plants and 2 bell pepper plants. Adalyn was able to help us plant it last year and this year, I know that she will be an even bigger help. I hope that our crop does well so that we can can lots of pasta sauce and salsa!

2. Go to the pool

In our city, we are lucky to have a great pool to go to and I know that we will be swimming there a lot all summer.

These Sesame Shrimp Kababs are loaded with flavor and are easy to make! Customize them with your favorite vegetables for a quick dinner. www.nutritionistreviews.com

3. Grill out all the time

We love grilling and just bought a new grill! I love creating new grilled recipes so stay tuned for lots of yummy grilled summer recipes.

4. Visit lots of splash pads

Splash pads are awesome for younger kids to play in who cannot swim yet and we love visiting different splash pads all over the state of Michigan for summer fun.

5. Explore our state

Michigan is truly amazing in the summer and we have been loving to go to new cities and explore. We did this a ton last summer and it was easily the best summer of my life.

6. Eat the best summer fruit

The summertime is my favorite time of year for fruit- peaches, plums, strawberries, nectarines, blueberries, etc. I'll take it all! When fruit is in-season, it tastes so much better. I am hoping that my dad's peach trees at his farm do awesome this year.

7. Visit all the parks

Adalyn loves playing on playgrounds and Troy and I love walking so what is better than combining the two and checking out all different parks?

8. Have dinner outside

Last summer, we slacked on eating outside a lot. Probably because we had to carry a million things out each time such as Adalyn's big high chair. This year, I am determined to eat outside as much as possible.

9. Host a bonfire party

At least once or twice a summer, we host a bonfire party in our backyard with food, drinks, family and friends. It is so nice being able to sit outside and relax! I miss it all winter long.

10. Go up north

There is no place like my parent's farm in the summer- walks around their property, meals outside, swimming, sitting around the pond, late night bonfires, etc. We visit at least once a month. I can't
wait!

After some fun in the sun, our clothes are always dirty and ready for a washing- especially a certain messy toddler's! We like the Purex® Crystals from Kroger which helps to get our laundry smelling fresh. I hate stinky clothes so this product is great for helping our laundry to smell nice after a whole day of fun activities while sweating outdoors. It is an in-wash fragrance booster. I picked up a couple of scents and to be honest, I chose these scents for their cute packaging! They are available in 10 different fragrances for an affordable price.
I chose the Purex® Crystals Fabulously Fresh and Purex® Crystals Fresh Mountain Breeze scents from the classic line. After using this product, our clothing smells so fresh! We will definitely be using this all summer long. They have a 12 Weeks of Freshness program going on where they are calling out that your clothes will smell fresh for 12 weeks! How awesome.Purex Crystals provide a great scent at a great price!

  1. We usually have a summer bucket list as well, but this summer we are moving, so we actually have a pre-moving bucket list. I hope we get to do everything on our list before relocating! #client
