I'm certainly not complaining because I am thrilled to be staying home with the kids and blogging but doing both of these jobs at the same time is hard work! I get up at 6 with my husband and he goes and gets ready for work right away. I come right downstairs and get to work on my computer and hope to get in an hour of work before the kids wake-up. Most days, I get about 30-45 minutes in before I hear a little voice calling "Mommy!".

Then, I go and get Adalyn, take her to the bathroom, get Oliver and feed him while I'm pumping and often times reading Adalyn a book. Then, it's breakfast, getting everyone dressed for the day, etc. etc. What I'm trying to get at is life is busy right now! I thought that I would have time while being home with the kids to just relax a bit but I feel like I'm always going 1000 miles per hour (and would go faster if I could).

By the time that about 1 PM comes around, I notice that my energy and attention starts to drop which is bad because that is my biggest time to work during the day (about 12-3 with an Oliver feeding and care mixed in). I've been enjoying making a quick smoothie with INVIA which is a performance beverage. I just throw in a large handful of frozen berries, a packet of INVIA and a cup of milk into a blender and blend until smooth. It takes two seconds though sometimes, I get it ready before the kids go down for a nap so that I can get in as much work as possible- it is a complete hustle every single day during nap time. 

Mixed Berry Smoothie

Servings: 1
Prep time: 2 minutes

Ingredients: 

1 cup frozen mixed berries
2 tablespoons flax or chia seeds
1 cup milk

Instructions: 

Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Enjoy!
