10 Delicious and Nutritious Yogurt Toppings

This post is sponsored by FAGE; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
The first thing that my daughter does each morning when she wakes up is asks me for breakfast. Well, good morning to you too Adalyn! After we get ourselves together, go to the bathroom, get dressed and get the baby up and fed, it is time to head downstairs to make breakfast. At three years old, Adalyn knows exactly what she wants and almost everyday asks for yogurt. Of course not without her beloved chia seeds and granola!

I love Greek yogurt and so does my 10 month old son so it is a breakfast that is enjoyed often around my house. If not for breakfast, we often have yogurt for a snack. We love the FAGE Total 2% Split Cups which come in many flavors including strawberry, peach, cherry, blueberry, blood orange, mixed berries, key lime, pineapple, blackberry, pear and raspberry pomegranate.

FAGE also has 0% fat and whole milk Split Cups. During my shopping trip, I only could find the blueberry and cherry flavors because the others were sold out. I guess that's a good sign that they are super tasty if everyone bought them!

I have tasted almost every single flavor of these and I think that the key lime is my favorite. It reminds me of my favorite key lime cheesecake and is totally delicious. The 2% fat variety is creamier and tastes more like a dessert than yogurt. I like that you can control how much fruit you put in. Sometimes, I want all of it and sometimes, I like more of the plain yogurt flavor and add just a little bit. I have used the extra fruit filling on toast with peanut butter and it is very tasty!

When I packed my lunch for work, I almost always took a cup of Greek yogurt and these FAGE all-natural ones were always a favorite. I also like having them as a dessert when watching a show in the evening with my husband. As a dietitian, I have always been a huge fan of Greek yogurt because of it's higher protein content, often being lower in sugar and that it is high in calcium. I use it frequently in baking and use plain Greek yogurt as a sour cream replacement. As a mom, I love knowing that my kids are having a nutritious snack that gives them the calcium that they need for strong bones (my 3 year old knows exactly what milk and yogurt are for- her BONES she says!).

I love serving these to my kids as well knowing that each 2% split cup has 12 grams of protein and only 11 grams of sugar. What an awesome protein-rich snack for a fit lifestyle.

Sometimes, I eat my cup of yogurt as is and other times, I love to add different toppings. Today, I wanted to share some of my favorite nutritious and delicious toppings with you! I would have to say that my favorite combo is chia seeds, granola and fresh fruit!
