January 2019 Product Review Favorites

Happy New Year! For those of you who are new here, I'm Amanda, a dietitian, mom and blogger that loves trying new-to-me products. I started this blog 9 years ago and at first, it was all product reviews. I have since moved on to including healthy recipes, nutrition articles, parenting and more but I still love to try different products and share my opinions of them with you.

It is a passion of mine to know all of the best products on the market so you will see frequent products on here that I've tried and enjoyed. Though I have often received them as samples, all opinions are my own and you can trust that I would NEVER say that I liked something if I didn't.

Degusta Box

1. Degusta Box

I love my Degusta Box because of all of the fun, new-to-me products that it encourages me to try. Her are some favorites from the month:

-La Tortilla Factory Low Carb Flour Tortillas- Typically, I am all about the flour tortillas but have been enjoying these low carb flour ones. I like toasting them right on the stove, adding cheese and hot sauce for a little snack. Sometimes, I add black beans or ham as well for protein. They are high in fiber and low in calories. They are tasty too!
-MaraNatha Nut Butters- I love all nut butters annd these flavors are fun!
-My favorite product from the box was the Smash Crispy Strawberries and Cream. It's totally a treat but was super tasty convenient and only 140 calories.
-I like the Vitabella cereal flavor-wise but there was no visible strawberry filling at all or flavor as seen in the picture which I thought was false advertising.

2. Highlights Preschool Big Fun Workbook

This is the most comprehensive, diverse and fun workbook for preschoolers that I've seen. It is huge and is divided into sections such as math, numbers, letters and more. Adalyn zoomed through about 5 pages in this book and truly had fun. Moms out there know that it can be hard to practice school at home and this book truly kept Adalyn engaged which made me super excited.

We will work our way through this book and then move on to the kindergarten one which I think will give her a bit more of a challenge which is good. Also, it is less than $7 on Amazon and is bigger than other workbooks- I definitely recommend!!

3. Chickapig Board Game

My family loves board games and we frequently have family game nights. I liked this one because it has a farm theme which is perfect for my parent's farm! It is a strategic game where chicken-pig hybrids try to reach their goal while dodging different opponents. It's fun!
