The weather is HOT which means there is nothing like an ice cold drink to cool you down. I love making fun mocktail recipes for my kids and I and this cherry limeade is a favorite. I used tart cherry juice which you can find at most grocery stores. This recipe is super easy to make and so great for summer gatherings.

We love bringing drinks like this to summer concerts, picnics and pool days. My kids always want a "special drink" as they call it and I love that this one isn't too high in sugar but is still really fun. I kept this drink on the healthier side by not adding in any added sugar and adding flavored sparkling water which gives you more to drink for less calories.

Cherry Limeade Ingredients

-Tart cherry juice
-Lime sparkling water (if you don't have lime sparkling water, any flavor can work)
-Fresh lime juice and lime wedges
-Fresh or frozen cherries
-Ice

As a runner, tart cherries and tart cherry juice is a great option! They can help with post-workout recovery. Tart cherries have anthocyanins which give the dark red color and helps with recovery after a run. Cherry Limeade is the perfect refreshing drink on a hot day with tart cherry juice, lime juice, sparkling water, and cherries!

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a pitcher, mix together cherry juice and lime juice. Before serving, lightly mix in the sparkling water.
2. Pour cherry limeade into glasses and add in a lime slice, a few cherries and ice.

    This drink looks and sounds yummy!

    Question on the supplements... how long did it take before you felt you were getting benefit from it? Kinda pricy and a rather big bottle.
